Amrita School of engineering

Remarks :

Positive remarks is that if anyone prefer Computer Science Engineering in our college then the coaching and placement will be really good. And for even circuit branches too. Coming to negative remarks. Hostel facility and the mess food will be horrible.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum is pretty good in our college. When it comes to exams, of course if listen to the lectures at least 50% it will be easy. Passing a paper is easy here for an average student. To keep up some good CGPA one might wanna learn and listen properly.

Placement Experience :

Yes there are many internship drive going in our college. Many companies like EQ technology comes for placement as well internship, for internship they give a stipend of 35k for 2 or 3 months. Selection process is based on competitive coding. Student who scores well and cleares hr interview gets the internship.

There are three events. One is Gokulastami and Amritovtsavam which are the cultural fest. On Gokulastami every one are allowed to wear traditional dresses. There will different performance by every department and the winner will be announced at the end. Then Anokha which is a tech fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

When compared to other colleges in my city my college's fee structure is expensive. But when compared to other deemed University like VIT or BITS it is some what similar to their fee structure. But for hostellers it really expensive with the hostel fee.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes our college provide good scholarship like 90% if you keep up your grades consistently like if you are holding a CGPA of 7. 5 in the first semester you are supposed to within the range of 7. 3 or above at the end of your college

Campus Life :

There are my clubs like nature club, literature club, sports club, acting club, etc in our college. When in comes to sports it's always pretty good in our college. We have a huge playground, a swimming pool to relax.

Hostel Facilities :

College has large number of hostels which includes a wide variety of rooms from single seater with attached toilet to four seater rooms with common washrooms. All the hostels are differently constructed and hence everyone has its own uniqueness. The rooms size also varies depending upon what kind of hostel you select and what all facilities you require. Four seater non AC room costs around 50k/year, 2 seater non AC rooms costs 72k/year, 2 seater ac rooms costs 84k/year, single seater with attached toilet costs 1L/year. All the hostels are packed with decent amount of facilities. There is no need to worry about it.

Alumni/Alumna :

Yes all teachers are helpful and after college hrs if you want to contact any teacher, number of teachers is also provided, student can contact them any time they want and teachers are very kind to help

Admission :

After completing my higher secondary education i. e. 12th I applied for Amrita entrance exam. I also joined a crash course for preparing for this exam. Since of college is a deemed University one can get only by writing the entrance exam.

Faculty :

Every faculty will be friendly. Any student can approach them for any doubts. They teach them patiently. Every faculty in our college completed at least M. Tech or M. E in their corresponding subjects.

There were more than 100 companies opting to get people from our college. Infosys, CTS, TCS and many other companies and the campus drive takes place at almost for 2 to 3 months. There will be even heavy competition between companies who's gonna recruit first. There are options if you are not interested in placements too

Admission:

I got the Admission in this college based on 12th marks and Jee main. i got Jee main score of 130 and 12th marks of 95%. so based on this they will ready a common Merit list and publish the All India ranks. based on your AIR , you will be called for counseling. You have to go to the SASTRA campus, on your allotted counselling date and time and Book the Branch of your choice. This is the Admission process

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Course Curriculum is really good it's on par with Bits and Nit syllabus. It's well designed to both suit the students needs and also equip them well with the basic fundamental concepts which can further strengthen their core concepts knowledge . moreover , the syllabus is designed in such a way that it covers 85% of gate exam syllabus. so we can also appear for gate exam immediately after completing our course. The Exam structure is based on conceptual learning. one has to be well equipped with concepts in order to pass in the exams. We must not mug up at any point of time as SASTRA exams will test your concepts rather than ur memory capacity. It will have 3 Cia exams out of which the best 2 exam scores will be considered for internal assessment and then followed by final semester examination which consists of 100 marks out of which 50 will be considered for overall grading. This is the exam structure
