Remarks :

Good remark-Best study environment among students as we have asia's 2nd biggest library MAULANA AZAD LIBRARY. BAD REMARK-Not promote Co-ed education separate classes for girls and boys.

Entrance Preview :

I gave AMU BSc entrance examination in 2016 with 1st choice Maths, and i got admission for the same.NO interview criteria for entrance, As i have a keen interest in MATHEMATICS rather than choosing B.Tech large number of students choose.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It was very good. Its not a professional course but AMU tag with BSc make it not smaller than a professional course. Yes we have a good place of practical classes in our time table.Physics as well as chemistry lab periods(three in a row) held once a week.Yes university try to engage more and more students towards practical knowledge.

Internships Opportunities :

College provide very few internship opportunities i not get any opportunity yet. For non professional courses no internship programs in university.

Placement Experience :

Placement scenario is nice for BCA and Btech students but no placement for BSc students. But many job fair organised in our campus for only professional graduates.University tie up with many companies like Pepsi, Ford, Genpact etc. As is read on jab fair related holdings in campus. I think average package is nearly 3-5 lakh not more than this.

College Events :

Large number of big fests organized in campus related to literature, culture, technology, folk music etc.Beyond this our literary club ,music club, drama club, etc. Doing a great job and play a important role in organizing such types of fests. College authoriti’s contribution is great for the same.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

I have no issue related to fees as AMU is a central university. So, affordable. As i gave only ₹6555 for 1st p.a. for 1st year and now it reduced to only ₹3995 p.a. and expect less than this in 3rd year as well.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

College provide very few scholarships for us. We dependent only on central govt. Scholarships or state govt. scholarships program. As very little fees so no there is no requirement of loan.

Campus Life :

Extra curricular activities open for all. There is club for cricket, football, basket ball, tennis, badminton, skating, horse riding, athletics, mountaineering, swimming etc. But hostler students take more benefit of it more than us non hostlers as we have hectic time table does not allow us for practice or go for any sports.

Hostel Facilities :

No i am local student so not residing in hostel. But i know about hostel rooms through my friends. There was single room sa well as sharing rooms.but great shortage of rooms as compared to number of students in university.Recently my friend told me that he applied for hostel during his admission but not get any hostel till today after 1.5 years of his BSc now he depend only on pGs since 1.5 years.Rent of PGs according to him is 5000-8000 per month with mesh. Food is good in PGs.

Alumni/Alumna :

No interaction with alumni. No college does not provide this opportunity. Yes no doubt alumni also play a main role in development of college along with students.

Exam Structure :

Yes labs and exams are very frequent, not only make us tired but also disturbs our exam mark sheet as no time for preparation between exams.Recently i gave 5 mid sem exams in a row with no break of even a single day really make me so tired and depressed. We always struck with mid sem exams, sesional exams, than semester exams.

Faculty :

No doubt university provide very experienced faculty with great knowledge.Professors are so interactive with interaction with each student individually. After every lecture they tell us if u have any problem related to subject than you can come to our chambers. Some scholars also teaches us some of them are too good but some are not up to the mark. Specially mathematics teaching staff is incredible full of hard working teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I made my decision to apply for this curriculum because apparently I wanted to prepare for the Civil Services Examinations and this course doesn't require much of your attention .The fact that this is not a professional course and is not much demanding like other Engineering and Medical courses. Well the curriculum does not connects you to the real world as it doesn't provide practical knowledge rather it gives you theoretical and much deeper knowledge about the subjects. Improvement can be made on including more application based practical stuff along with the pure science as a whole. Bsc makes you fall in love with the subject as it tends to provide pure scientific knowledge in depth. The teaching methods can be more practical and well demonstrative to ease students understand the complex topics. The level of exams is moderate to difficult, students who love their subjects with good preparation can ace the examination and achieve academic success as well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you have interest in science then you must do B.Sc with PCB, this is a very good course. After doing B.Sc. MSC, you can become a very good teacher. After doing this course, you can also go into research field. Chemistry should be explained in a more practical manner in the B.Sc. course. The paper is of 2 hours and is neither difficult nor easy to complete.

For a research oriented career, shiv Nadar University provides the perfect environment for detailed learning and hands on training which is vital for a successful career. The extra one year provided to have ones own research project at an undergraduate level and the opportunities provided to become a part of an ongoing research project under a faculty, all aids for a well-learned career.
