Course Curriculum Overview :

I got to know about this reputed Globsyn business school from one of my friends. In western Kolkata, I found this college best among all the others. I have taken PGDM + MBA. The course was very useful we got international exposure. Faculties of this esteemed college were very knowledgeable, supportive, and helpful. They always made us understand everything with live examples. We used to give 4 semesters in 2 years. If you have a clear concept and understanding of the subject you can easily pass the exam.

Class Size : 90Course Fees : INR 800000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

I have done an internship at UAS International. UAS International is a wealth management company situated in Gurgaon, Delhi. My job role was marketing and sales executive. Stipend was 5000 per month. The internship period was of 2 months. Apart from all these companies provides GIP program in terms if you achieve the given targets. The internship helped me a lot in enhancing my knowledge, communication, management, and leadership skills.

Placement Experience :

After the third semester, students can apply for the placement. In Globsyn, the CRP team is taking care of all these placement sessions. This year more than 90 companies visited Globsyn including Big 4. The companies were PwC, Deloitte, E & Y, Marico, PhonePE, Wipro, Icici, etc.94% of students have been placed this year. The highest package that Globsyn offers is 21 lakh and the Average package is 4 lakh. I have been placed in Marico Limited one of the Market leading FMCG.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are affordable for the middle-class family too. Globsyn helps students in getting loans and student cards. In Globsyn business school, the students go for summer internship programs where they are hired by good and top companies, and all the students are paid with good stipends. The summer internship program helped me in enhancing my communication skills, management skills, confidence level, and knowledge too.

Campus Life :

Globsyn believes beyond education too. Apart from providing daily courses, Globsyn also held various seminars, corporate connects, and pre-placement sessions which helps us in enhancing our personality and standard. Beyond education is a platform in Globsyn where we apply our theoretical knowledge in practical life. Various events take place such as Anando Utsav, Mango Magic, Serendipity, and Titanium. In Globsyn we have two board members committees named Students Council and Kylf Board members. I being an Event director of the Students Council board have learned a lot. These extra co-circular activities helped me in making me ready for the corporate world.

Admission :

The eligibility process is very simple and all can apply for it. I found the application forms and date details on the Globsyn website. The process of admission to Globsyn business school is very simple and easy. I don't think any improvement is needed. All the criteria are up to the mark.

Interview Experience :

Entrance exams are divided into three parts: First, the Written test: In this test question comes from current affairs, basic reasoning, Verbal ability, and basic marketing questions. If the student has a little knowledge about all these fields they can easily pass the exam. Second, Group discussion: In group discussion 6 to 7 students from different backgrounds and different colleges sit and discuss the given topics. The topic is simple just as Hard work Vs Smart work. Third, Personal interview: In this interview, the interviewer asks simple and easy questions they only check the confidence level and communication skills. Questions are like - Introduce yourself, Why MBA, Why Kolkata, Why Globsyn Business School?

Good campus vibes

Placement Experience:

Students can avail the degree also if they are already in a job in blended mode. Internships are given to students once they complete their 2nd semester exams. Final placements can be given after the completion of 3rd semester. Lots of job opportunities are given to the students.

Unlocking success - My journey at Globsyn Business School

Placement Experience:

Typically, students become eligible for campus placements in the second year i.e. after completing the compulsory summer internship program. Companies visiting the campus can vary from year to year, but few to mention Big 4 companies visit every year, FMCG brands, startups, banks and NBFCs provide placements to students every year. Almost 100% of students get placed every year. As I am already placed in a Big4, I am planning to join that after getting my degree.

In their fifth semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Among the well-known companies that were visited were Microsoft, Dabur, JP Morgan Chase & Company, Goldman Sachs, and DE Shaw. No, 200 offers were made. The largest package available is Rs. 80 lakhs, with the average package being Rs. 22 lakhs. Among the offered profiles are those in finance, sales, and marketing, consulting, international business, information technology, analytics, and trade. Every child was assigned a place. I wish to work for a reputable multinational business organization after I graduate.

Everyone knows about IIT placements. IIT provides a wide range placement opportunities for deserving candidates. Throughout our batch placement drive, a total of 80 companies came to our campus, and everyone got a nice package. Some of the prominent names that participated in the placement drive were ITC, Accenture, Wipro, Google, Microsoft, and Infosys. Our batch's highest package was 22 LPA, while the lowest was 14 LPA.

Remarks:

The institute department of which I was a student is one of oldest Management Institute functional under an University in Eastern India. Very recently it has secured NAAC- A grade and has consistently scored good reviews in nirf ranking and have been featured as a best management institute in Eastern zone for 3 successive years by Business Review magazine.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at the institute is average in terms of the companies coming to the campus. The IT giants are frequent takers while large FMCG or other companies are not big takers. Students find their placements mainly through off campus via different referrals & placing resumes through channels. The placement department has been active and need more assistance in terms of getting good companies to come down to the campus. Alumni network helps through getting proper referrals whereas that also need to be more assisted to have a good rapprt being established and maintained in time to come. There is a Entrepreneurship Cell attached to the Engineering department. But not in Management Institute.

Entrance Preview:

I passed CAT exam for this curriculum. I got 40 percentiles. The course is all about finance and I wanted to specialize over it from the beginning, so I had to choice this course.In CU there was GD and personal interview had been held.I had to pass those two round before my admission in CU.

Placement Experience:

The placement and job opportunities are average.It is arranged by the placement committee and the placement officer himself. The officer discussed with the higher authority about the placement companies and according to that the brochure and the student details along with the invitation letters have been delivered to the respective companies local or head quarter address.
