Remarks

So basically PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore, Tamilnadu is one of the best institutes facilitating management graduates. The subjects have been tailored according to the current trend and corporate exposure. In order to get into PSGIM (degree awarded by Anna University) there are two ways: through TANCET (i.e. an exam similar to CAT, exclusively for Business Schools in Tamilnadu) and the MAT (Management Aptitude Test which comes under the management vertical). So an eligible student through TANCET should score above the 98 percentile in order to secure admission at PSGIM and a student through MAT should score above 600 (composite score). Apart from this PSGIM offers courses affiliated with reputed foreign universities like Leeds Beckett University, University of Toledo, etc. Students are eligible to apply for these courses if they attempt the MAT exam and score above 550 (composite score)

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The reason for me to select MBA as a course is, it would help me hone my knowledge in the area of business and how corporate works. All the faculties here are doctorates in their respective fields and have significant knowledge of what they facilitate the students with. The placement cell, known as the Corporate Relations Center provides wonderful training, mentorship and placement support for the students.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship opportunities were provided by the placement cell of the college itself. Companies like ICICI, Tata elxsi visited and hired students for internships. All the internships offered stipends for the interns.

Placement Experience

4.5

As mentioned earlier the placement cell known as the Corporate Relations Center has the best mentors who facilitate us with the placement skills, communication skills and time-to-time support for the companies who come in for hiring. The average placement for the batch 21-23 was 6LPA. More than 75 companies visited PSGIM and there were reputed companies like Deloitte, EY, PWC, Jean Martin (JMI), H&M and a lot more. The highest package offered was 14LPA for a marketing role. More than 98% of the students secured placements

Fees and Financial Aid

As mentioned earlier, there are several courses offered by PSGIM and each course holds a different fee structure. The course in which the degree is awarded by Anna University: - For the management quota (MAT) the fee is 11L for the whole course and For the student who enters through TANCET (Government quota) the fee is 5-5.5L

Campus Life

4

Life at PSGIM is great, all kinds of fests and celebrations are conducted here. The best part is all the students will be involved in the fests and celebrations which helps us hone our practical management skills. The flagship event of PSGIM is known as the WOW - Week of Wonders which consists of a week of group and individual events on the electives in MBA like finance, marketing, HR, operations, etc. And will also handpick the best 20 students with more than 7-8 drills on them to check their managerial skills and pick one among them as the Best Manager of the Year who will be the Chairman of the college for the following year.

Interview Experience

4

All kinds of drills and tests were conducted on the applicants to check their abilities. Group Discussions were discussed on current topics like, the ban of the 2000 currency notes, etc. Personal Interview was all about checking the soft skill ability and the knowledge in the business and corporate worlds
