Remarks :

College management is best, there is no complaints and no body can complain also.

Entrance Preview :

we need not take any examination. I opted for this college because this is one of the old and renowned college of south chennai.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum followed is of Madras University. We had Algebra, Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Statistics, English, Tamil, Hindi and Sanskrit. We used to have lots of debates etc to give practical knowledge also. For day scholars there will be exposure to Physics too.

Internships Opportunities :

As required the college provides offers for internship. The companies who contact us are good ones. Regarding stipend I do not have much idea since we were more focused on experience than money.

Placement Experience :

Top companies of chennai city knows how good is our college. The level of english of our students are best. Without any hesitation the companies can pick students from our college. I am not sure about the salary package as i felt the opening is much more important than the money

College Events :

We used to have several occasion that give good exposure to the students. Smriti is our annual event and its celebrated with great enthusiasm. Not only this, we have a great grand sports day and we have inter college sport activities also. Our students are invited by other colleges also to participate in their event.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee is not at all expensive, I hardly paid Rs. 1400 as a full year fee when i exited in 1997. When you compared to many of the private college in the area, I can assure you the fee structure in SDNBV is very very competitive. The education they impart on the students is very good for the fee they take. They do not charge unnecessary the student for any thing

Fees and Financial Aid :

I have not availed. But i am sure lot of scholarships are available with college trust only. If the student is in need our management will assist.

Campus Life :

This is a only girls college. We use to have a lot of cultural exposure. Students from various states study here. Economically sound college. We use to have lot of debates and other kind of exposure even at our days, you can imagine now this will be multi fold.

Hostel Facilities :

We have a lot of PG or housing available around the college. But there is no hostel facilities inside the campus. We have a good canteen inside the premises. The cost of food in the canteen is very affordable and the area is maintained to the perfection and management makes sure that students get good food.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

Our seniors were our inspiration always. They guided us all through the way and there was a kind of protection for the juniors, we are still in touch with seniors

Exam Structure :

The exam structure will be as per chennai university. We use to have periodical exams and not so hectic. We were never chilled out also since there was good importance for education. Stress and enjoyment is balanced in SDNBV that is the great quality.

Admission :

GOOD MARKS, APPLY AND THEY WILL GIVE YOU SEAT. We can seek application before getting the marks. Applications will be issued 1 month before the college start. Keep all the mark sheets and give the application with required documents. If you are qualified definitely seat will be there for you.

Faculty :

Very good faculties. We have a parent like assistance from the teachers of the college. The college is bit strict in studies and the teachers will strive their best. The teachers always are ready to help the student, they give counselling time to time to put their students on top.

My college will give placement after course completed, give placements in food industries, Pharmaindustries, chemical industries and etc, the minimum eligible for placement is clear the degree without any arrear. The highest package of salary of placement is up to 4to 5 lakhs. And the average packages 2.5 lakhs. Every year 20 to 30% students will get placements after completing the degree. AMET university promises 90% of placement. We have different companies around the globe that come for placement interviews for cadets undergoing the bsc program. The starting package is 350000-450000 per annum(varies from company) and it can go upto 675000-850000 per MONTH (once u become a captain)

The truth about sriher

Course Curriculum Overview:

The thing that appeals to me is that along with teaching sports science they also teach basic biology which includes anatomy, physiology , biochemistry and genetics which is great as one can understand sports science more Deeply if they know basic biology. The curriculum does prepare you for real world applications as it has a one year compulsory internship program which will basically be the practical application of what you've learnt. There are no particular improvements that are required as of now. The frequency of exams is approximately once a month and they are decently hard except for the semester exams.
