Course Curriculum Overview
I chose B.Sc. Actuarial Science because the curriculum covers key subjects like Probability, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, and Economics, which align directly with actuarial exam syllabi from IAI and IFoA. The structured approach to building mathematical and analytical foundations was a major reason for selecting this course

Campus Life
There is no annual fest for the overall college, no fun activities but we have department fest that is related to studies only for 2 days each department,College Day & Sports Day – Held annually with official prize distributions and performances.
Admission
I applied to a few other colleges like Christ University (Bengaluru) and PSG College (Coimbatore) for related programs like B.Sc. Statistics and B.Com (Actuarial). I got confirmed admission from PSG but chose Bishop Heber College because it offers a dedicated B.Sc. Actuarial Science course, has a good academic reputation in Tamil Nadu, and is more affordable and closer to my location. The course structure aligned well with actuarial professional exams, which influenced my decision.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is perfectly balanced allowing decent individual for concentration in studies , faculties are Even supporting outside the classroom, especially when students show more interest on their subject and go to clarify doubts
Interview Experience
For B.Sc. Actuarial Science at Bishop Heber College, there is no Group Discussion (GD) or entrance test. The selection is purely merit-based on Class 12 marks (especially in Mathematics, Statistics, or Commerce subjects). In rare cases where an interaction or informal interview is conducted, questions may include: Why do you want to pursue Actuarial Science?
