Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the SCMHRD MBA-HR course because it is one of the best in the country with an illustrious history and a great legacy. The alumni base for me was a very important thing and I did reap many benefits of the alumni base during my internship by connecting with many alumni. The faculty in the college are decent and a few industry bigwigs also visit as visiting faculty to teach us. The term-end exams were conducted promptly and the exams weren't really difficult to get through.
Internships Opportunities
Top companies of different domains visit the campus. Companies like Cisco, Google, Capgemini, Colgate Palmolive, Accenture Solutions, HUL, Diageo, Optum, Tata Steel, Aditya Birla, Reliance Industries, Philips, etc. visit the campus. The projects offered are mostly strategy-based and the college monitors our projects helping us whenever required.
Placement Experience
The students start sitting for their summer placements in sem 1 and most of them get placed in 10-12 days with the average stipend being around 2lakhs for 2 months. Many companies such as Godrej, Tata, Reliance, Flipkart, Accenture, Colgate, etc. visit the campus and more than 250 offers were made. The highest international package was around 65 lakhs and the average figure was around 23.71 lakhs. 100% of the students get placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for my batch were around 22 lakhs and the college does provide scholarships for the top 5 students at the end of the first year. But the college also has tie-ups with many organizations from where the students can avail of scholarships. Details of scholarships can be found on the website. I got a very good internship opportunity with a stipend of around 1L per month and also got a great job offer slightly above the average CTC of the batch 2023.
Campus Life
The social life is great on the campus as it is situated in the heart of Hinjewadi, the IT place of Pune. The amenities offered on the campus are also decent but the campus is small compared to other colleges. That's the only drawback. This hindered the sporting activities on the campus but they do have a multi-sports arena that can be used for cricket, football, volleyball, and basketball.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility was decent with only 3 sharing rooms on offer great Wi-Fi connectivity and hygienic food offered. The hostel fees were covered in the semester fees paid to the college and hence won't be an added burden to you.
Admission
I took the SNAP entrance exam conducted by SIU for the MBA colleges under it. The eligibility criteria were to have completed a full-time undergraduate degree. The application form and the fee details for the SNAP exam can be found on the SNAP website. The admission process was very smooth and one of the best I went through.
Interview Experience
The GD topics were mostly on the current events of that time and the interview covered many things over 15-20 mins from personality-based questions to knowledge-based questions. There was a Written ability test as well where we had to write a passage based on the picture shown. I didn't prepare specially for the rounds but I had given some mock interviews to some mentors and used their feedback.
