For getting admission in this college we have to pass the KEAM examination conducting by Kerala Government. I secured 17021 rank

Course Curriculum Overview :

Great. As it is a Govt. managed and controlled institution the quality education is available for each and everyone. The students will have the option to opt the scholarship from many options available and the college and management will do the needy as per our request

The college providing e-grantz for almost everyone. And many other scholarships are available. The students will have the option to opt the scholarship from many options available and the college and management will do the needy as per our request

Placement Experience :

Yes, there's a well working placement cell providing career guidance and many campus recruitment. There are many students who got placement from the placement cell. The companies include Infosys,Wipro,Quest,Qburst etc. The soft skill development classes providing by the cell make the students capable for these achievements

College Events :

The main events happening here is the Tech Fest. The name is "advaya". The seventh advaya is going to happen this month(2017 september). Advaya is the National level Multi-fest of Government Engineering college Idukki, Kerala. The previous versions of advaya was collaborated with many cultural arts and technical programs. Usually conducting for three days. Other than advaya there is other programs like arts, sports, special day celebrations like Onam, X-Mas, Holy etc

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Fee structure is assigned by the goverment. There is consessions based on community. The approved Fee Structure for both B.Tech and M.Tech is as follows. a) Student Administration Fee : Rs.1,000/- per student (One time fee to be collected at the time of admission) b) Examination Fee : Rs.500/- per Semester + Rs. 200/- per Theory paper. c) Late Fee : Rs.500/- the details as per 2015 KTU notifications

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Yes loan and scholarships are provided as per normal terms and conditions. The college providing e-grantz for almost everyone. And many other scholarships are available. Campus Life :

Campus life will be memorable for entire life. The nature itself is so romantic here. Gender ration is around 50 : 50 . All extra co curricular activities are available here. The labs are well equipped with all needy. Sports annually conducted at Kulamavu ground.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facilities are provide by the college. The College has five main Hostels - The Men’s Hostel – I, The Men’s Hostel – II (Near SBT), Ladies Hostel, Staff Hostel and C7 Hostel. Ladies Hostel can nearly accommodate 300 students. These Hostels have separate establishments and are headed by the Warden assisted by the Residen Tutors.Mr.Sumesh Devakaran Associate Professor in CSE is the warden of Staff Hostel and Men's Hostel.Mr. Vigilkumar V V, Asst. Professor in IT is the warden of Ladies Hostels.

External Expense : Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni meet are conducting yearly. All the pass out students are available almost entire globe. In almost all countries. The Alumni Association consists of student members as well as staff members of the college. The association has organized meet up programs at Trivandrum, Eranakulam, Idukki and Dubai(UAE).

Exam Structure :

There will be internal and external examinations.The internal and external examinations will be conducted within the campus. All the facilities are available here itself. The internal exam marks along with the attendance and assignment will hold the internal session marks for the university in which 60% marks of sessions will be by the internal exams which will be around the 20% of total marks of the paper. And the external exam refers to the university examination. Under KTU the exams patterns are as per the KTU terms and regulations. Facilities including CCTV surveillance is availble here

Admission :

I got admission in pure merit basis by the centralized allotment process. As soon as the link appear after the entrance exam result we have to upload the plus two marks and after that the rank list will be published and there after the allotment process will begins

Faculty :

All the faculties are well qualified. Some having doctorate PHd and some having PG like M-Tech and all the permanent staffs and faculties are selected only by the public service examinations. In overall the faculties are more than good. They are enough for the educational purposes.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
