Course Curriculum Overview :

R&D is the best option in case of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The stream becomes very wide for research as the need for new drugs and formulation increases day by day. You can become as a formulation scientist if you have core knowledge about pharmaceutics. If you are strong in analytical methods, you can proceed to analytical R&D In case of chemistry person, you can become a drug synthesis scientist in R&D. If you are a pharmacology person, you can become a Pharmacology scientist in R&D sector.

Internships Opportunities :

No. For my course they is no internship provided by the college. They is no stipend. But they provide 25% of that semester tuition fees as scholarship for every semester to person who scores overall 1st Rank in a semester.

Placement Experience :

They have a specific placement cell and placement officers. Many good companies come for campus drive. Almost many gets job if they are talented. As far now, we have attended two campus drive in past 2 months. 1.Billroth hospital Pharmacist, marketing 15,000 -20,000 /- pm 2. Apollo Hospitals R&D, pharmacist 20,000 - 25,000/- pm

College Events :

Teachers day, vels family day, vels natchatra. In some occasions, the department conducted various workshops, conferences and symposium. We have 6 academic club and 9 extra curricular activity club . They conduct club event in a frequent occasion. Pharmacist Day will be celebrated on September 25th every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

For Bachelor of pharmacy (B. Pharm), Duration of course is 4 years. Tuition fees are paid for every semester. 30000/- per semester. One year contains 2 semester. So fees for one year is 60,000/- per year. Insurance fees of 300/- is paid once a year along with tuition fees.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

25% of tution fees is waived for a semester for the student who scores 1st rank in a semester. Loans are provided by banks as the college is UGC and AICTE approved college.

Campus Life :

The gender ratio is can be assumed as 55:45 (Male:Female) NSS PROGRAM ARE CARRIED OUT. BLOOD DONATION CAMPS ARE ORGANIZED AT A FREQUENT TIME. ECONOMIC STANDARDS ARE AVERAGE TO HIGHER. MANY INNOVATIVE WORKSHOPS ARE ORGANIZED. NATIONAL LEVEL COMPETITION ARE ORGANISED. COLLEGE HAS EVEN CONDUCTED A WORLD RECORD EVENT ON BHARATHANATYAM.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are average. Food in mess is good. But they can do more. Hostel has good water and electricity facilities. Ventilation is good. Hostel is present inside the campus itself. It is not very strict but the students freedom are provided at a nominal level. Two warden are present in each block. WiFi facilities is provided. Common TV is present. Water cooler is present. Adequate washrooms are provided. Food can be rated as 7 out of 10

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is not that great. But relationships with seniors are present healthy. Job notifications are given by seniors and it is helpful to know the current trends and status of our field by their experience and expertise.

Exam Structure :

As it is semester based examination, we have some lot of work in completing at least 4 records each semester and we cannot miss even a single practical classes. Internal marks are based on our performances in 3 Continuous assessment examination, record completion, attendance, seminars, faculty assessment based on behavior of the student.

Admission :

I cleared the entrance exam. Higher cutoff in entrance exam is necessary for easier selection of course of your interest. Higher cutoff will help you to save your capitation fees. Or else you need to pay more money as capitation to join the course. After my entrance results. They called me for counseling. Then, I selected my course and after confirmation, they said to pay the tuition fees.

Faculty :

All faculty are well knowledgeable person. Most of them are doctorates. Some are pharma d graduates. They are many industry experiences professors. They are very professional and their standards are good. Even though being a deemed university, they provide well talented and recruit only best professors based on their research experience and publications of papers.

Pharmacy is a promising field offering research opportunities and other jobs when trained properly. The student: staff ratio is 10:1. All the faculties are postgraduates with a handful of experienced Ph.D. professionals with industrial exposure and contacts. Their teaching will be reasonable and more self-study is required.
