  • Infrastructure of IIT BHU is old compared to other IITs

Course Curriculum Overview :

I was allowed metallurgical engineering in round 6 of josaa counseling. Faculty-student ratio is great here and the professors are highly qualified and have their Ph.D. degrees from IITs or foreign universities.

Internships Opportunities :

Internship opportunities are available in the 3rd year itself. And almost all students are able to get an internship in circuital branches. And the average stipend ranges from 80-90k. I recently did an internship too.

Placement Experience :

IIT BHU is famous for its placements. Placements start at the start of the 4th year itself. There are many companies that visit the campus and the highest package is the whooping 1.2 crores offered to 4 students.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of IITs are a bit high when compared to NITs but actually, it is worth it plus there are many scholarships available for the ews category whose salary lies from 1-5 lakhs. Hostel fees and mess fees are also very affordable.

Campus Life :

Kashiyatra is conducted every year which is the cultural test of IIT BHU. This year darshan raval, raftaar came to the campus. It is conducted in January. Technex is the oldest technical fest in India and it takes place every year in March.

Admission :

I qualified for both jee main and jee advanced. Admission to IIT BHU is done through jee advanced. For a general candidate ur rank must be under 16k to get admission. I got a rank of 12k in jee advanced.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students can start getting placement if they had done an internship with any company. Otherwise, in the 7th and 8th semesters, most of the students get the placement. Many renowned companies come and offer jobs in college. About 70 percent of the students get the placement.

Placement Experience:

More specifically if I am talking about placement is that if you want to get good placements in dei that you must maintain your sgpa at least 8 points for you to appear in the placement cell. There are many companies visited in college like torrent power for electrical branch and other for their respective branches. Around 60% of students get their placements through college and it also depends on students' ability and skills. Since I am in the 4th semester so yes from 3rd year students get their training or internship through college to students with good grades. So you must have to maintain at least 8 sgpa for better placements.
