- Too much academic pressure on students which can be lessened to some extent.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course due to its immense placements. Faculty are highly qualified and have PhD degrees from top ivy league colleges in the world and India. Their teaching method is a bit harsh on students and they expect a lot more from students I guess. There are tonnes of quizzes and exams having significant weightage from time to time.
Placement Experience :
The placement process takes place in September and interviews are held in the first week of December. Placements are best in the country. The highest package this year was 1.2 cr domestic given by aphagrep to an Mtech cse. The average is around 30-35 lpa. Almost all students get placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee is normal. Everyone admitted through a valid GATE score gets a scholarship of 12400 per month from the government of India. One can easily pay the fees from a stipend. Also, hostel fees are highly subsidised.
Campus Life :
The annual fest is SARANG and takes place usually in January. The library is huge and is open till 12 am. Classrooms are world-class. Sports competition takes place from time to time. Competition is usually among hostels. There are hell of lot of clubs from Robotics, Coding, UPSC etc actively run by students.
Hostel Facilities :
The new Mandakini Hostel is one of the best in the country. They are washing machines in hostels for student use. Meal quality is good but there is scope of improvement since it is NIRF ranked 1 college. Hostel and mess facilities are highly subsidised. Also there are various parties from time to time in hostel like dj night, barbeque night, ice cream night etc.
Admission :
The eligibility was Btech passout or in the final sem, a Valid GATE score. The cutoff of gen was 820 gate score. The application fee was nominal. The application form is present on the college website. The application form comes after the GATE result. One needs to participate in COAP counselling after that.
