Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course because it has a practical approach. I don't just have to remember the theory but I also have a lot of coding to do. We have a huge faculty and every two classes have the same teacher so I won't say that we lack teachers. The teachers are very qualified, most of them are PHD with years of experience. Every college was behind schedule but ours were the first to take exams and so we were super on time and we could prepare for the finals more easily.
Placement Experience
We are given internship opportunities in the second year but the placements start in the third year. Many students also received PPOs. Not aware of the exact number but Delloite, Wipro, and Infosys are among the many. I will be pursuing my master's in Computer Applications.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are a little high for a middle-class student but I guess it's expected since it's a semi private university. I am currently in my first semester so I haven't had any of that. Though I look forward to good placement
Campus Life
So every department has its own fests, plus there is one main cultural fest that happens in the month of December. My department i.e. VSIT has a tech fest each year with hackathons and other competitions. We have 4-5 huge libraries and I have never felt any lack there. The classrooms are centralized with AC and fans so it's comfortable. We have huge windows for cross ventilation. The overall infrastructure is one of the best. We have a football, basketball court, volleyball, pool table, table tennis, and many indoor games for fun. We have a lot of departmental and centralized societies in all fields, though I haven't been much involved in them I am aware of some websites by the societies.
Admission
So I had to clear CET and since my college i.e. VIPS is a very reputed one, I had to bag a rank of under 1200 out of 6600 people. I took coaching for the entrance and I had to prepare for Maths, GK, LR, English, and Basics of CS. Everything including forms, and notices were clearly mentioned on the university's website at all times. I am pretty much satisfied with the admission process for GGSIPU
