Entrance Preview :

I gave JEE entrance exam. I am very much interested in mechanical engineering. And Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology is well known for quality education. I think this is the best place.

Placement Experience :

Every year 1000 students get placed. Nearly 100 companies come to CIET. Average pay is 6 lakhs per annum. Almost 90% of batch will get placed. Around 15 students out of 20 students were placed in good MNCs with average package of 5-6 lakhs & maximum package was 10 lakhs. The companies were Tata Steel, TSPDL, Deloitte, ITC Etc.

Campus Life :

CIET campus is the best place i have ever seen. Students are very friendly. I am very glad because I met my friends for life. No politics. Labs are very good. We can go at anytime. We have the best library.

Hostel Facilities :

All the rooms of almost all the halls/hostels were on twin sharing basis. The rooms were equipped with all necessary necessities like toilets, bed & study table with internet connectivity.

External Expense : Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna :

We have very good interactions. Alumnis are very helpful. Even though they are graduated they comes to campus and will have some chat with us. This helps us in many ways. They share their experiences and ideas. Before getting into the course/college, i inquired about the course with the alumni over internet. He helped & guided me for the various issues concerned.

Faculty :

More than Good. Many of them are best and good people. They help us very much. They made us feel comfortable . They have very good knowledge on subject they are teaching and also on non teaching. Almost all the faculties of the institute are having Ph.D Degree & all were having excellent teaching skills. The classes are being conducted through projector with slides.

Placement Experience:

After the 2nd semester and starting 3rd-semester students become eligible for campus placement. There is lot of companies visited like Google Microsoft tcs Wipro HCL L&T Infosys dailyhunt. Approx. 99% of students are getting placement. My plan is to get a job.

we do have placements in or college, students are trained and given good exposure to the jobs in the market and then sent for the campus interview which is conducted in our campus. infosys, cap gemini, and many others. 75% of students get placement and there is 100% students getting benifitted from placement cell. my aim is to work as a professor .

My college experience

Placement Experience:

In M.Tech second semester onwards internships will come and in fourth-semester, full-time employment opportunities will come almost 100 companies will visit in a year like an abb, bosch, GE, Accenture, TCS, Wipro, Microsoft, Schneider Electric, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Alstom, Volvo, Invention, Analog Devices, Nokia etc. The Highest package is about 20 LPA and the lowest was 3.6 LPA about 95 percent of students were being placed. After getting the degree I'll go for my job.

Admission:

In May we wrote the Entrance exam. And the mark is calculated based on the mark we score in the entrance exam and also the 12th standard marks taken in certain Percentage decided by the University Board. In one month they will announce the marks online or on the University Board. Then in a couple of days, counselling will happen.
