Entrance Preview :
I gave AIEEE in 2011. And I got 157/360. The college was near by my city and ranked 3rd in the state after IIT- gandhinagar and NIT Surat. The course structure and campus life was different from other colleges. As it was the only good college at that time which offering ICT. The admission process was simple they sent the call letters to the shortlisted students who has applied for the college by the and scores AIEEE marks accordingly. There are two quotas.50% Gujarat quota50% national quota.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course sturture is very neatly designed. Total gradepoints are divided in 8 semesters. In first four semsters we have to study only core couses. Basically the course is integration of electronics,communication,compute science and information technology.For the next 4 semster ypu can choose electives with the core.electives of The one which intrests you more from the above core.so here comes the good thing that after having basic idea of all you can master The one you like the The facults are very supportive and highly educated atlest holding a Phda from good universities and years of experience.
Internships Opportunities :
Mostly there are IT companies visiting the campus. For internship there was Amazon, flipkart,hackerank,nagaro,TCS and many such. The process is good they take the test and interview for selecting students.and the stipend varies for company to company and after joining internship there is change that student may directly get the PPO.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are emphel. DA-IICT stands 6th in placment in the nation amongst other prime engineering college.The system is to give grades to the company A,B,C grades. Which is decided according to the package they give. The companies are Google, Yahoo, directi, Morgan Stanley, flipkar, Amazon,juniper networks, delloit, nagaro, infosys,tcs, and many others.Even startup like hackerank, practo, playpower, and Manu more comesAnd who so ever sits for the placement almost 98% of them are placed.
College Events :
Our college just have around 1500 students in total including every course. So the festival size is not as huge as mood indigo but it ia very nicely done. We have cultural committee who take care of ever festivalsand competitions throughout the year to make the campus more happening.Our anual festival is 'synapses ' ehich is a cultural fest and all the college around the city and im the state comes to attend. We have sports festival 'concourse' where many colleges participate.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
Hostel is compulsory for under graduates. So no problem with the seats. The rooms are sharing with two and are allotted by administration after admission and all rooms are connected through lan so it is even good for gaming too! With high internet speed of 10mbps.DA-IICT don't have a mess system which is the beat part. We have cafe system , you pay for what you eat. And food at subsidied rate.So you get all the food from thali to Punjabi and nonveg. There are different counters for different type of food.Hostel fees-10kFood.- Varries but on an average 3k Per month.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Sorry I don't know about loans but during the time I havw taken admission there was a system that any one who has rank bellow 5k in AIEEE do not need to pay tuition fees.
Campus Life :
The gender ratio of girls and boys is Around 1:7. less number of girls compared to boys.The cultural activity keep going on through out the year. Holi,Diwali, janmasthami, Ganeshchauth, navratri and more are all done with enthusiasms and faith.Even intra compitions like rangoli,singing,dance,photography, drama , fashionshow,etc happens throughout the year. Workshop of Google, IEEE, ethical hacking, robotics, debate are organised.There is a club for every thing from coding and robotics to dance and drama.Every thing comes under student body government(sbg) who synchronise every thing. The sbg members are elected by the students through voting.
Alumni/Alumna :
There is an alumina bord where we gwt to know what some one has achive amd who is doing what now. Every year the current student try to call alumni of a batch for reunion. The seniors always motivated you and as every one is on campus and with limited students you know almost evey one and it feels like a family to you. Living On yhe campus you get to interact more with seniorsand batchmate which helps you to be more active and you can learn better.
