Course Curriculum Overview :
The total Batch size was 300, which might sound scary. But the entire batch was divided into 5 groups for labs and tutorials. Most professors here had done their phD from elite foreign colleges. The exam structure here was were robust. We had 2 in-seems and one end-sem exam for every semester. Apart from these exams, we had pop-quiz and practical exams for some courses as well
Internships Opportunities :
We had a mandatory internship program during our 3rd year. We were supposed to find internships on our own. With any company or a project under professors. Profs. were very helpful during projects. Apart from that, we had a project in almost every course.
Placement Experience :
Campus placements are one of the selling points of DA-IICT. I'm my batch placement % was like 95 and the average package was between 9.5 to 10 lacs. We became eligible from 6 th semester for campus placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee policy was a little issue as they were increasing the fee almost every semester if not every year. Scholarships were of great help. There were actually quite a few scholarships given to economically challenged students. Some of them were MYSY and Gujarat state economic reservation.
Campus Life :
We were blessed with a nice spacious and green campus. Classrooms and labs were equipped with modern technologies and equipment. Cultural, Tech, and sports fest were completely organized by student bodies only. Annual Cultural fest was Synapse, Tech fest was i-fest and sports fest was Concurs. There ware other clubs which were also governed by students only. Quiz Club, Dance Club, and Music Club are to name a few.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel was not all moon and stars, it was ok. Also, hostel fee as compared to other colleges was not very high, so it was fair. Meal quality was good and very affordable as the college was giving vendors subsidiary. The good thing was mess charges were not there, so you would be paying only at the time you purchase food and not prior to that.
Interview Experience :
During the admission process, there was not any GD or Test or Interview. The entire process was based on your performance in 10+2 boards and the JEE exam. 60% hiring was done through ACPC (board ranks) and the remaining was done through All India rank in JEE.
