Course Curriculum Overview :
Not Bad is what I would say. The faculty is quite helpful with homework and take-home assignments. The exams are moderate as well although the grading in our college is quite hard. A 7.5 in SNU would easily be a 9 in VIT or SRM
Placement Experience :
I can only speak on behalf of the CSE department. The placements for our branch are good enough (Avg package this year was 14-15 LPA). A lot of good companies like Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley do visit us although not a lot of people get through the early rounds. This bit entirely depends upon the individual as I have seen students from ECE outperform CSE kids at times during placements.
Fees and Financial Aid :
Very hard to get any TA ships in our college as Professors usually go with those who they know quite well, So better start connecting with them if you intend to get some Teaching assistant positions..
Campus Life :
This is one area where SNU throws the competition out of the park. There are many clubs which I might add are quite active. The fests are energetic and we get famous personalities visiting our campus to perform every now and then
Hostel Facilities :
Better than other private colleges for sure. The hostel fees are slightly on the more expensive side of the spectrum but it is well worth it as the rooms and corridors are well maintained. The mess quality is outstanding and food provided is healthy and hygenic
Admission :
I applied through the JEE Mains examination. My score in it was about 92-93 percentile. The average cutoff for those in CSE was roughly 90. Keep in mind that this was 2020 a very uncertain year for students so this information should be taken with a pinch of salt as it may not be applicable now
