- Girls to boys ratio is quite good:- 2/3 the ratio is nearly 50-50 in non engineering branches
- To make networks and socilaizing with new people this college is really a good place
Dislikes
- Faculty is not that which i have expected...you still have to google for studies
- There is nepotism in entering any of the clubs here, specially entering into tech clubs is too difficult
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum of the university is quite good. it keeps u involved in studies as well as many other non-academic activites. Teachers should focus more on real-life problems..most of the professors dont allow non bookish answers. The timings of quizzes are 15min and mid sems is 1.5 to 2 hrs.. the difficulty level is not that high

Campus Life :
The involvement of 1st year students in clubs is a lot..but there is a dark side too. seniors make 1st year students do all the work. but the environment among the students and infrastructure is good. there are two annual fests 1)breeze. 2)Spark-held in October, it provides students to showcase their talents, network, and break academics. The library have a wide collection of books, its has over 50,000 books spanning various disciplines. All the classrooms are air contioned, and equipped with smart boards and projectors and a good wifi connection. Snu provides various sports facilities including cricket ground, outdoor and indoor badminton ground, gym, yoga centre, horse riding and all the other fields except the swimming pool which is under construction. There are various clubs which include drama club, photography club, ACM, nexus, snifty, segree etc.
Hostel Facilities :
Not all first year rooms are equipped with ac, only 4 and 5 floors of hostels are equipped with AC, water they provide in the hostels is also not that good ... For meals you have to go to DH1,2,3...they provide 5 meals in a day. Food quality is also good. Registeration for hostel is done at the time of admission...allotment of ac rooms is done on the basis of lottery system.. And hostels are compulsaru in SNU, you cang take pgs or room outside the campus.
Admission :
I applied to several colleges, including shiv nadar university, vit, SRM and DTU. I received admissions from VIT, and SRM but chose SNU for its research focus. DTU was my initial preference, but i couldn't secure admission due to its highly competitive environment. The SNIoE admission process was smooth, with eligibility requiring a minimum of 60% in 12th grade and admission offereed through SNUSAT OR JEE MAINS. The jee mains cutoff for this year was 90-93 percentile, while SNUsat focused on aptitude, problem solving, and english proficiency, followed by a personal interview.
Faculty :
Faculty to student ratio is quite good...for every 50-60 students there is one professor. Binson Babu sir is the best professor for physics here in the university..he is very punctual for the syllabus completion. We have many surprise quizzes, quizzes, and practical which keeps us involved in the studies. the frequency of the test is also very high. every week you must have quizzes and practicals.
Night Life :
For first year students there is a night curfew, it means you cant roam around the campus after 12 midnight..but we also have relaxation on saturdays which mean we can hangout all night in the camous without any restrictions. Gym usually closes at 10 in the night and opens at 6 in the morning ... There is nescafe in the livrary whose timings are 9am to 12 midnight. Hostels timings are 6 am to 12 midnight...its onlg for the first year students.. Campus timings are 6am to 8 pm on weekdays and 6am to 9pm on weekends.. Inside the campus , u have many places to hangout such as canopies, botanical garden, CND ,ANB, and lake etc .. Outside the campus u have only few places ro hangout such as mahesh, old town..
