Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it aligned with my academic and career goals. At my college, the faculty-student ratio is high, with only two faculty advisors for a class of 63 students. Each subject has its own teacher, who is responsible for instructing all 63 students in that subject. Term exams are generally easy, though it is not always easy to pass overall. The faculty at my college are averagely qualified, though it is not specified what this means or how this may have affected my learning experience. Overall, these are just a few aspects of my college experience, and there may be other factors that have contributed to my overall experience as a student.
Internships Opportunities :
The main companies offering internships at my college are Infosys. Good internships are available, and participating in them can be a great way to gain valuable work experience and build my skills and knowledge in my field of study. Internships can also be a great way for me to network and make connections in the industry, which can be helpful in finding employment after completing my studies. It is important for me to research the various internship opportunities available at my college and carefully consider which ones may be the best fit for my interests and career goals
Placement Experience :
The placements at my college are very good, with more than 500 placements achieved last year. The main companies visiting for recruitment are TCS and Infosys, and there are reportedly many other companies as well. This is a positive sign, as it indicates that there are ample job opportunities available for graduates of my college. If a college does not offer campus placements, students may still be able to find employment after completing their studies through other means, such as networking, job searching on their own, or completing internships or other experiential learning opportunities. Some students may also choose to continue their education by pursuing advanced degrees. It is important for students to consider their long-term goals and plan accordingly in order to increase their employability after completing their studies
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure at my college included tuition fees of 75,000 per year. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship for achieving a score of 10,000 or above on the KEAM exam. This scholarship helped to offset the cost of my tuition and other fees. In addition to scholarships, I also had the opportunity to receive financial assistance through grants, loans, or work-study programs, and I was able to earn money through a campus job. These options helped to make my college education more affordable and accessible. It is important for students to carefully research and consider all of these options when deciding on a college, as they can play a significant role in a student's overall financial situation and ability to afford their education
Campus Life :
Life on campus at my college has been somewhat poor, with very little free time due to full-time studying and a constant stream of assignments and work. This has made it challenging to balance academics with other aspects of life on campus, such as socializing and participating in extracurricular activities. The infrastructure of the campus, including the quality and availability of resources such as classrooms, libraries, and recreational facilities, has also been a factor in my overall college experience. Despite these challenges, college life can be a rewarding and enriching experience, but it is important for students to be prepared for the demands that it can bring
Admission :
The college admission process for me was competitive, as I had to take an exam called KEAM in order to be considered for admission to my preferred college. I was aiming for a seat in the computer science program, and the college required a score of 15,000 for admission. Fortunately, I was able to achieve a score of 9,000, which placed me among the top candidates for admission. Despite the high score requirement, I was able to secure a seat in the program and begin my studies. It was likely a challenging and stressful process, but ultimately, I was able to achieve my goal of enrolling in a reputable college and pursuing a degree in computer science.
