Let's learn about new filed

Remarks :

College of food technology, vnmkv has two ways to get admission. One is through MHT-CET and the other is through AIEEA ICAR. I got admission through ICAR. The whole counseling was in online mode... I only visited college once when I had to submit my documents. You can apply for this college on the MHT-CET portal. And you can also apply for this college through the ICAR portal. CET is a Maharashtra-level entrance exam while ICAR is a national-level entrance exam...CET seats are more than that ICAR seats.....

Course Curriculum Overview :

I always wanted to be an entrepreneur, and guess what sector in India is the most profitable? It's food! We can't keep raw food for many days hence preservation of that food is most important. Food is one need that is never gonna end. That's why I choose to take this course. In this college faculty members are really good and supportive. Most of the teachers over here are PhD-completed teachers. Every student in this college gets a personal advisor and that advisor helps him/ her throughout the course. In this college we have two exams in one semester, one is a midterm and another is a term exam. Midterm exams don't have practical exams but term exams do have practical exams and viva. The level of exams is moderate. Well, difficulties depend on how you study though.

Internships Opportunities :

We have so many opportunities for internships. Our students are working in many multinational companies like pepsico, ferrero, aanad, Haldiram, Cadbury, nestle, etc. Our students are not only working in India but out of the country also. Last year one of the students got a job in Nigeria. One of the alumni of our college is right now working in Australia.

Placement Experience :

Right now we don't have the option of campus placement. But our new ADP is going to start campus placement this year itself. So it's a good opportunity for upcoming students. But the alumni network of our college is very strong so we can get placement wherever we want to all across the world. The percentage of students getting placements is going to be a minimum of 8.2 CGPA. I'm planning to do MBA after this course. I'm studying for the CAT entrance exam.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As the vasantaro naik marathwasa krishi vidyapeeth is a government college, the fees of this college are less as compared to a private college. College fees will vary with your category, ICAR admission, and whether you get a scholarship or not. But the max fees will touch roughly 35000 per year, including hostel fees. Mess fees will be taken differently. Not in college fees. There is an NTS scholarship for ICAR students having different domiciles. CET students get scholarships of GOI, freeship, Or private scholarships too.

Campus Life :

As this is a government college, I can't say that the infrastructure is good. But even though we didn't have a good infrastructure we got each and every basic need. In college, we mainly celebrate freshers and Ganapati utsav on a big scale. And we have a food technologist club which arranges a conference in tech festival. Freshers are mainly celebrated after admission while ganapato utsav is celebrated in September. Our college has the most beautiful library in all marathavada. The library has all the books. The college has many clubs like placement, entrepreneurship, library, cultural, sports, earn while learn, etc. You can always www.vnmkv.ac.in/

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are provided by the college very well. As the infrastructure is not that good it really makes me a little disappointed. But basic needs are provided. Mess fees are taken separately. And the taste of the food is really good. We get roti, rice, dhal, and sabji. On Saturday we get feasts. On Sunday as we get feasts and one time is a holiday on Sunday for the mess. Registration for a hostel is simple... You just have to pay fees while taking admission to college.

Interview Experience :

No. Not GD, an interview I gave. I got admission over here by giving ICAR entrance exam only. You can also give MHT-CET to get admission over here. All you have to do is give the entrance exam... No interviews or GD.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester itself. Last year a ton of companies visited the campus right from TCS, Infosys, and Accenture to ZS associates, Veritas, etc. There is a good opportunity for nontech branches also in the college, the package is not high but it is good. According to the college, almost 78% of students got the placements. The highest packages were 45 LPA Amazon, 44 LPA Microsoft, and 36.5 LPA D.E.Shaw. The majority of the placements above 12 LPA were off campus, few were on campus. My plans after getting a degree are to be placed in good company with a good package

Course Curriculum Overview:

All the students are given electives to choose and we also have the compulsory courses too, common for all. The electives could be chosen based on varied interests of students and are very engaging. The compulsory courses are chosen and kept very wisely and are essential for computer science and engineering students. The courses and evaluation plans are very well created and curated for students to be able to solve real world problems too later in professional and personal lives. There aren't much suggestions and areas to improve as of now. Exams and tests are conducted almost every two weeks. This keeps the students keen on learning and practicing all the while and doesn't let them slag in between the semester. The exams are monitored from the headquarters at Pune, and hence all is kept under check and maintained.

As our college provides placement on our Campuses the opportunity to grab placement is quite simple but not much as there is competition among 3 colleges, although the maximum students who get placed through campus placements, is around 60%.
