IMS and SUM hospital

Remarks :

For getting into any medical college, you have to go through NEET UG, so after giving neet ug, in the last round I upgraded to this college. Everything is available online I guess, all the process wasn't so difficult, had to visit the college just once.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Like literally any other mbbs course, this college will try its best to make you understand things and make you study but in the end, it is upon you to study because you cannot only depend on classroom teaching anywhere except school. Exams are held every 2 months, all teachers are well-qualified and experienced

Internships Opportunities :

The stipend is 20,000 for the compulsory internship I think, really good considering other colleges give about 12,000 to 18,000. The hospital too is full of patients all the time, so there is a lot of exposure here too, it is among the top college in Odisha

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fess is a little on the expensive side, there are multiple scholarships but I did not have any idea about it until recently so I really can't say anything about that. If you do come to this college, you won't spend a lot other than the fees, mess food and all is good, the campus provides bus transportation also.

Campus Life :

Our annual fest is called IMPULSE and it is amazing, the best time of all our lives, it goes on for a month. There are no clubs as such but you anyway won't get time for anything ever since you're choosing this degree. The library is really good. Classrooms are really good with ac. The basketball court etc is there on campus and is well maintained too.

Hostel Facilities :

The Mess menu changes every 2 months, above average food I think. The hostel has 2 bedding and 3 bedding options with or without ac, with ac, is always better since Bhubaneswar is a hot place. Hostel fees are not that expensive, really good hostels.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course that I chose is MBBS. Every aspirants know that how nobel this profession is. We are hearing of rumors like we'll be having NExT exam so according to that a little bit change is needed like shifting ophthalmology and ENT to final year and MCQ pattern for our exam. Difficulty level of exams is moderate. You get some basic questions. Some desirable to know type of questions

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs curriculum is vast and hard. Here we have 2 internal exams where 50% is mandatory to pass and these are tough. Final MBE exam occurs at end of year mostly and here also 50% is mandatory to pass else we have to sit for supplementary exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is much required to improve the course curriculum and teaching method. Some things like theory class should be improved so many students should attend the classes and feel it interesting. The clinical classes are good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is really vast and due to the recent guidelines of CBME it is made interesting focusing more on practical's and patient interaction rather than only theory teaching. It would be much more better if there would be MCQ based tests regularly which would make it easier for our upcoming entrance exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medicine is a ever evolving curriculum with new stuff being found every year. Most of the faculties have attained foreign fellowships and are up to date with any recent advances. This is reflected on their methodology of teaching and the content of the course. Clinical aspects of every subject are immensly focused upon and its relevance in a hospital setting is discussed extensively.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always wanted to be a Doctor. So I chose this course. Faculties are very few, to be honest. Teachers are mostly doctors and with pg. Exams are held at the end of the year. It's called a Medical board examination. You have to score 50% in theory and practical separately to pass.
