Remarks :
Being an engineer is necessary to apply for NITIE, and basic cutoffs are around 60% in UG. All the details are available on the course website; apart from this, you can visit NITIE admissions social media handles for further details. The admission process is very smooth, and they even provide mock interviews and buddies before the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This is best for people having a technical background as it integrates your technical knowledge into management. Apart from this, the placement figures and fees were another criterion. The presence of Alums in top management positions also helps. Most faculties have PhDs in their respective fields, and they follow a mixture of case studies and group assignment methods for their classes. The exams are held on time with enough prep time given. The exams are mostly based on the application of concepts being taught in the class and are fairly easy to pass if you pay attention in class.
Internships Opportunities :
The project varies as per your previous experience. They are in line with the latest industry requirements. All major FMCG companies come to NITIE with their stipend being the same as you would expect at IIM ABC, We also have consulting firms providing major strategy roles on our campus.
Placement Experience :
Summer placements start from the 1st semester onwards only. The highest package is around 49LPA whereas the average is around 26.9LPA. NITIE provides 100% placements to its students. I plan to venture into consulting after my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid :
The fee is 14,63 lakhs per year, which includes hostel fees as well. It's been the same for the past 3 4 years, and this provides the best ROI in the country. There are various scholarships available with certain criteria attached, and I got a consulting role on campus with the stipend being close to the average stipend in my year, the reports are accurate to what is happening inside the campus.
Campus Life :
Avartan is the annual fest of NITIE, which stretches for over a week, and it has all kinds of events ranging from technical to managerial events. It's in October with people from multiple colleges participating. We have a cricket ground, basketball court, football ground, and other facilities. There is a 3 floored library with all the books and journals which a student might need, plus we do get an e-library and databases subscription. There are over 20 clubs/committees in college, ranging from consulting to sports committees.
