Remarks :

You have to qualify KEAM entrance test to qualify for the course & also have a good score in higher secondary(above 60%). Admission will be strictly based on the rank list prepared by the commissioner of entrance examination, Kerala. This college will provide reservations for the candidate as per the reservation policy for professional courses by the Kerala government. vv

Course Curriculum Overview :

Electronics and communication engineering is considered the backbone of the communication system. As compared to other branches, there is more interdisciplinary specialization in higher studies for ECE students like Embedded systems, VLSI, Signal processing, etc. GEC Palakkad has highly qualified and friendly teaching staff there to guide and clear all doubts at any time. Other than teachers there has efficient lab technicians and guides to help students. Internal exams and class tests are conducted monthly so make students more confident to face semester exams. The level of exams is moderate to tough. If anyone has trouble cracking exams there will be special remedy classes are given.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 30000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are many scholarships there. I got an E-Grantz scholarship, given to students having an annual income below 1 lakh. Also, have minority scholarships and central sector scholarships for the required students. Also, give financial guidance to the students who got top ranks in the KEAM examination. sc and st students are excluded from the remittance of tuition fees.

Campus Life :

The college is situated in a rural area. Natural beauty and tremendous infrastructure is the main attraction of this college. Here tech tests are conducted annually, and students from various engineering colleges in Kerala will participate in them. Every special occasion is celebrated by the leaderships of various departments .annual arts day & sports weeks are common. Here some inter-college tournaments are conducted regularly. Student clubs are very active and conduct various fest regularly. Students who are very active on social media platforms will assist newcomers.

Hostel Facilities :

There is government hostel for boys and girls and also some private colleges under the control of college principal. Government hostels are good, provide healthy environment, minimum quality food. The admission given to the hostels are strictly based on the list prepare by college authority.

Hostel Fee : INR 5000 per year

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
