Remarks :

My admission to the college was through PMSSS which is a scheme provided to students of Jammu and Kashmir by the Government of India (AICTE). The admission process was simple. You need to fill out an Admission Form and provide some documents and pay fees including hostel if you are availing of it.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course circullum is the same as other colleges in the country. The difference is only unlike in other colleges everything happens on time may it be exams or any other process. College prefers doing all things on time. College Issues a Calender before starting the new semester which is quite good. Unlike other colleges, the college has a special autonomous status that is independent of any decision-making.

Class Size : 25Course Fees : INR 70000 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure for Btech is nearly about 70k per year as tuition fees. If you are availing hostel then you need to pay 64000 for that per year ie two-semesters. There is a scholarship test held by the college every year which is called AGC NEST. Based on the points you score you can avail of a scholarship up to 1.5 Lakh.

Campus Life :

The annual fest goes on every year it is called Prayas. Campus life is good. There is a big library which is open for students till midnight every day. Unfortunately, clubs are not there till now. But some societies conduct different social programs every year. Classrooms are furnished with AC facilities every year. Some clubs held by students are Light House, English Enhancement, and natures club.

Hostel Facilities :

I lived in a hostel for one year. Hostel rooms are semi-furnished with a lot of space available for stuff u have. There are 3-4 beds in every room. 4 chairs and 3 tables and almirah or lockers in some rooms. Ac rooms are also present which charge you extra money. Annual hostel fee is 64000. The mess is clean but they serve only veg food.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students are eligible for internship had placements. The companies which generally comes for placements are google, wipro, deloitte, Microsoft, HCL, TCS, LnT, Cisco, Infosys etc are some of the highest recruters in chitkara university.
