Remarks :

I got a seat in the NRI quota because all other seats were booked. The admission was so fast and simple. The application form is available online and is easy to apply online on the college site. The admission process is so simple.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because I like CS very much. For 240 students there are 8-12 teachers. Teachers are well qualified and good. Exams are semester wise and there will be an internal exam every two months.

Class Size : 60Course Fees : INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Internships are offered by different companies or through many societies like IEEE, IEDC, MATRICS, etc. students can become part of these societies by taking memberships also. College also provides special internship opportunities.

Placement Experience :

The college has a placement cell that gives training to students from the second year onwards. Most of the students without arrears are getting placed in companies like IBM, TCS, QBurst, Byjus, Infosys, etc. Almost everyone gets placed.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There are many scholarships available for students. For different departments fees varies. For the CSE department, merit-75k management-100k and NRI 150k are the fees. The average fee is 100k per year. Students can get scholarships from government and fees will get reduced.

Campus Life :

The annual tech event is known as MESTECH. It's one of the famous tech events in Kerala. Other events in college are Agnitio, Sparsh, etc. these are annual department tech events. The college has a football team and other sports teams. The college has many groups like IEE, MATRICS, IEDC, etc.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is very good and is near the college campus. In one room there will be three people. The hostel is very affordable and has basic facilities. Hostel mess is very good and tasty and is managed by my hostel student union. The hostel has average fee of 4000 per month.

Hostel Fee : INR 45000 per year

Interview Experience :

Exams are conducted semester wise and there will also be an internal exam every two months for 50 marks. There will be an internal exam for practical's also. We will get enough time to prepare for exams. End semester exams are tough and you need 40 marks in the exam and 35 internal to pass.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
