Remarks

The admission to my course- B.Sc. (botany, zoology, geography) was entirely based on the merit lists prepared based on the 12th standard percentage. The admission is through online mode. One can find the prospectus for admission on the official website of the college. One has to registration from www.gcwparade.in/www gcwparade.org. The college will put out the merit lists prepared based on courses and students applied. One can check these merit lists online from the college website as well as offline from the college. If you got your name in your preferred course, you have to verify your documents from college authorities within the scheduled dates of your merit list. if you fail to do so, you again have to register yourself for the same course.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum was good and the faculty was very cooperative and well qualified as well. I choose this course because of my interest in biology and also wanted to learn a new subject, so opted for geography. Student: faculty ratio is quite high. Exams were conducted on a semester basis and questions were of great quality and moderate to pass. Along with this you also have to fulfill the criteria of 70% attendance, only then you were eligible for exams otherwise you have to clear your attendance shortage.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure may vary from year to year as this course includes practical's also. The price hike in fees is not much significant. Various scholarships such as for SC, ST, Pahari speaking, and OBC were provided.

Campus Life

3

There is no annual fest as such. But various other cultural celebrations are done. The library is good but requires more current affairs magazines otherwise newspapers were daily available. Carrier counseling club is run by teachers and students to give coaching to students for different competitive exams.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

The curriculum provides me with Whatever is sufficient in my course and whatever knowledge I need, I will have more than that. Exam timing should be in the afternoon only because morning gets very late in coming due to which exam gets skipped, rest it is perfect

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.
