College campus is huge. We can sit and roam around freely in green lawns
Faculty is very educated and helpfull. Anytime available
Infrastructure is good in labs and libraries

Dislikes

Dogs are always roaming around in the garden
College canteen serve fast food at high prices
Washrooms are not always clean and becomes difficult to use

Because of the fact that I took admission during the first batch of NEP, we get to enroll in all the course that were helpfull for the overall development. Courses are quite helpful in pursuing higher studies

Internships Opportunities

Only one internship is offered in last semester. The internship is of 2 credits. We went to other college for internship program on physics. We learned a lot about the practical application of physics

Fees and Financial Aid

12000 per year fees for undergraduate program. Some courses like computer application cost a little more than others. Scholarships are not provided. Only 12000 is taken at the time of admission each year

Campus Life

Campus life is full of new experience and adventure. All the festivalls are celebrated with great enthusiasm. There are many other programs which act as refreshing agents after attending hours of lectures

Hostel Facilities

A room is given where four girls live. Overall the room are good and spacious. Mess food is tasty and is of good quality but lacks variett. We need to fill admission form offline and then they print a merit list after which admission takes place

Admission

I applied in GDC Khour previously but the infrastructure there was not right. As this college is A++ Naac accredited which act as a plus point for us to choose it over other colleges. This is one of the best college in my state

Faculty

Nowadays faculty to student ratio is quite disturbed due to transfers of teachers and new admissions. Physics faculty is one of the best because of their consistency. Level of exams is moderate in mid term and difficult in finals

Overall a good University with below average placements.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

GOVT M.A.M COLLEGE,JAMMU : A Success path to life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.
