Remarks :
The admission process to the college is very easy and anyone can apply. There are direct admissions for every course. Admissions start in March every year. For this course, the candidate should have passed his senior class 12th with a minimum of 40%. To get admission to the course, you have to fill out a form and pay the fees at the counter. The fees are affordable for everyone. There is relaxation in the fees for the students belonging to the lower class. To avail of this benefit, they have to attach proof with their admission forms.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This course is a three years course. In this course, you can choose any three subjects of your choice. The college provides you with various subjects under this programme - English literature, geography, history, polity, economics, sociology, computer science, Hindi literature, and Punjabi. Besides these, there are compulsory subjects that you have to pass in 3 years. These are English, computer, and environment. I have chosen this course because of my interest in literature. The faculty for my course is good. They are experienced in their respective fields and build good relations with the students. The exams for this course are conducted annually. Talking about the faculty, they give their best in their subjects. But the medium of the teaching is only Hindi. As the college mentions that it is for both English and Hindi medium students, they do not provide any faculty for English medium students. So, I will not recommend this college for students in English medium.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees of the course are affordable around 14000rs.. There comes many scholarship schemes for lower-class students. These schemes are from the state government. To avail of these schemes, you have to fill out a form with all your necessary details and proofs. No placements are done on the campus for any course.
Campus Life :
The campus of the college is not so big. It consists of classrooms, a library, labs and a canteen. No sports facility is provided by the college. Classrooms are not so big and the maximum strength of the class is upto 30 students. The infrastructure of the class is also not up to the mark. Although they support the sportspersons in their tournaments and events there is not any sports ground built in the campus area. Annual fests are organized on the campus but besides this, there is not any other extra curriculum activity organized. They provide the facility of the canteen. But it is not good. The sitting area is small and not clean. Food is also beyond expectations. Overall campus life is boring here. You cannot enjoy the college life as you have thought of. The best part of the campus for me is the garden which is in middle of the campus. It has a green lush environment and filled with plants and flowers.
