Remarks :

IIIT Kottayam is one of best Institutes of information technology in India. IIIT Kottayam was a good college for me, since I wanted good academics with a low JEE rank. The cutoff for JEE advanced in computer science was 25842. The admission form can be filled from the official University website.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was vast and informative with mainly a theoretical approach and live projects with portfolios. It included elective subjects along with the main course with topics and modules like Java, CSS, Html, machine learning, artificial intelligence, etc. The professor-student ratio was 10:1, and the faculty was co-operative as well.

Class Size : 59Course Fees : INR 208000 per year

Placement Experience :

Top companies like TCS, Jio, Wipro and Ericsson take part in the placement drives of the university. Here, the emphasis is on the previous internship experience that is directly related to the candidature of selection. Highest package offered was 9.2 lakh and average package was 9.07 lakhs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

IIIT Kottayam provides a scholarship of 100% with full grant to students whose family income is less than 2.5 lakhs. Students with family income Between 2.5 lakhs to 6 lakhs are eligible for a 50% scholarship. However, since I wasn't eligible for any of these scholarships, i secured a financial aid with a bank loan.

Campus Life :

IIIT Kottayam has a permanent campus located at Valavoor in Kerala. We had a great campus life here because of the full fledged co curricular and extra curricular activities here. Our university had 4 clubs namely betaLABS, WildBeats, Sportec and the trendles club.

My personal opinion about college of engineering Cherthala

Placement Experience:

The college of engineering cherthal offer an good placement system and support. In the Beginning of 7th semester, the student become eligible for campus placements. Till that time the student can to attende placement related classes, webinar.. Etc to upskill their skills to become an good employe. Around 60 to 60 percentage of atudents got the job and placed with agood LPA in every year. The TCS, WIPRO,IBM.. etc.. are the major company sconduct placement drive every yaear in our college
