Remarks :
Your admission will be done on the basis of JEE(Main) exam. Application form, Application fees, dates go to the official NTA website. There are two types of reservations available first on the basis of your category and second on the basis of home state quota.
Course Curriculum Overview :
According to my rank, whatever option was available for me in that all options this was the best option. Faculty: student ratio is around 1:20. Maximum faculty of chemical engineering department have Ph.D. degree from reputed colleges and teaching quality is also very good. In one semester we have one mid sem and one end sem exam after every 2 months. Also in classes, we have quizzes, tutorials, etc. Difficulty of exams is depend on student but if student doing little hard work then he/she will get good marks.
Internships Opportunities :
Last year in 2021 9 students from 120 students got their internship in the chemical department for core jobs. Overall 87 students got internships in their third year of college. In chemical engineering, there is a mandatory internship college provided for 1 month in summer vacation after the 3rd year of college.
Placement Experience :
From 4th year students can apply for campus placements. last year. In 2021 companies are like amazon, adobe , Nokia , Deshaw, J.P. morgan, BYJU's, Vedanta, jio, L&T, Bajaj, Deutsche bank, axis bank. A total number of offers is 680 and 439 students got placed ( this is low because of a pandemic ) next year it will improve. The highest placement in chemical engineering is 10.5 lacs and the average package is 7 lacs around 67% of students got placed last year (2021) in chemical engineering. It will going to be increase in next years. My plan after getting a degree is will go towards entrepreneurship.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For 1st year Education Fees is 150000 and hostel fees is 50000. Then for next three years, education/ tuition fee is 125000 and hostel fees is 50000. As far as I know, the fees hike is not done in our batch (2021-2022) than last year (2020-2021) and for later years I can't say anything . If someone is can't able to give fees then they can take an education loan and there are many scholarships available. Fee remission General / Gen-ews / OBC category: family income less than 1 lac then you will get 100% refund of tuition fees General / Gen-ews / OBC category: family income is between 1 lac to 5 lacs then you will get 2/3 refund of tuition fees SC / ST / PWD category: you will get a 100% refund of tuition fees there is no fee remission for MSC maths, physics, chemistry branches. One scholarship name is FFE, in this scholarship Who have secured a rank under 75,000 (CRL) will get scholarship of 40,000 rupees every year. there are many scholarships available. In chemical 67% of students got a job (2021).
Campus Life :
The cultural fest of SVNIT is Sparsh and the tech fest is mindbend which is conducted every year in the month of February. This fest is one of the largest fests of west India. The Library of the campus is super amazing with world-class infrastructure and around 2 lacs books, and many e-books. If you want any book and not available then there will be a high chance that you get e-books for sure. Classrooms are Air Conditioner, one projector in every classroom and benches are new and comfortable, classroom building is very clean. All sports ground available, here in college we have full opportunity for extra-curricular activities. There are many clubs for following passion which are all run by students that were an amazing experience.
Hostel Facilities :
In the hostel, you will get a table, chair, cupboard, board, single-seated bed. As far as I know meal quality is better than other colleges. In mess, you will get everything ( north to south Indian mess ) ( veg only ). in college, all students can get a hostel just you need to apply for that and surat students also getting hostel so no need to worry.
