Remarks :

Admission is done on the basis of the entrance exam AMUEEE( Aligarh Muslim University Engineering Entrance Examination).150 questions of 1 mark each and 1/4 negative marking, 50-50 questions from physics, chemistry and mathematics. Application forms can be filled on the amucontrollerexams website and application fees is 650 for general and onc candidates. Students who have done 12th/diploma or equivalent in physics, chemistry and mathematics are eligible and can apply. Application forms are released in March and the exam is held in April or May. 50% reservation for internal students of AMU And there are reservations for Muslims, obcs, and sc/st and foreign nationals. It was beneficial for me as I am Muslim category. If you are internal it becomes very very easy for you to clear because of huge reservations for internal students. And also if you are child professors or staff in amu then also it is beneficial as there are reservations forwards of staff members too. No improvement is needed.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Mid semester exams are held in between the semester and at the end, the end semester exams are held. Apart from that assignments and sessional tests are taken from time to time by the respective professor of different subjects.

Internships Opportunities :

Good opportunities for internships are available here. Technical societies like IEEE AMU, GDSC AMU help students to get good placements. And some companies and start ups come here to provide paid internships to students.

Placement Experience :

Placements at AMU are quite good but not as expected from such a kind of University. The average package is 4-5 LPA. For CS it is 6-7 LPA and a new branch AI is started in AMU from 2021 whose placements are expected to be good in the upcoming first placements of this branch. And soon new branch of mathematics and computing will also be introduced in AMU as our professors said this to us. For mechanical and lower branches it is 4 LPA. The highest package is 20 LPA. 80-85 % of students get placed here. Top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, adobe, L&T, etc. But the best thing about AMU is that if you want to do research and want to do fully funded scholarship masters from abroad like Canada, Germany, Australia then it is one of the best. And also for your overall development, this University is best.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees of all the courses at AMU is very very less. You need not worry at all about fees if you are at AMU which is very very beneficial. Fees for BTech's first year is about 18k for nonhostlers and about 21000 for hostlers. And becomes half around 7-8k from the second year. There are lots of scholarships provided by the University and its alumni that students can avail.

Campus Life :

You may get disappointed when it comes to fest here at AMU. But there are many cultural events organized by the societies and clubs like UDLC literary club, IEEE AMU, GDSC AMU, etc. And When it comes to sports it is one of the best as there are almost all the facilities available here at AMU. Books are very easily available to students. There is a separate library for engineering students and the main library is the Moulana Azad library ( asias no 1 library at a time).

The Campus life

Placement Experience:

Placement of the college is decent highest package was 30 lac per annum and average is 6-7 lac per annum....From 6th semester u are eligible for the campus placements.... companies that visited are- IBM, TCS,etc I just don't remember now there are many... percent of students getting placements are near about 80% i guess

Best college for developing startup skills

Remarks:

The best part of this college is that it has an incubation centre which is governed by the DST government of India to promote new innovative ideas and mould the incubator to start there startup and became an entrepreneur.

Entrance Preview:
