Remarks :
New IITs are gaining lots of popularity in a very short period of time. New IITs colleges are a really very good option for us as the top IIT like IIT Bombay, IIT Madras cutoff marks are very high but these new IITs come as a saviour for us because they are mentored by the top IITs and we can get top class education quality from New IITs like IIT Dharwad is also mentored by IIT Bombay and was a really very good option for me. The college gave me lots of opportunities the college provides a good opportunity for research in the college. The college faculty has helped me a lot in building my overall personality. After clearing my JEE advance I was assigned the seat in IIT Dharwad during my JOSAA counselling. The admission process was smooth and good.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum of the college is like IIT Bombay as the college is mentored by IIT Bombay. The curriculum helps us to understand all the basic and fundamental applications of electrical systems. The curriculum provides us insight into electrical application and the design of electrical equipment and devices. The faculty is not only of PhD standard but also have very good experience in the research field related to their domain from one of the best universities of India. The faculty are so experienced that they can break complex subjects and concepts into small theories and help us to understand them. The faculty is highly experienced and guest faculty from IIT Bombay also visit the campus for the guest lectures which is a very good learning experience for us.
Internships Opportunities :
The internship is a good opportunity for us to learn about the corporate experience. But internship is optional and if we want to opt for an internship we have to register our information with the placement committee of the college. We can also opt for off-campus internships. We are eligible for an internship after the third year of our program.
Placement Experience :
As being the first batch we were a little bit in doubt about the college placement committee as to what type of companies will be called for the college placement we were not aware that what to expect. But the placement committee of the college has done really a commendable job they were successful in inviting good companies such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, Wipro and many more. Around 75+ companies visited our campus during the college placement drive. The highest package was around 25 LPA and the average salary package was 11.95 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The complete college fee is around 9 lakh but the college provides very good placement and the return on investment is very good as the average salary package is around 12 LPA. The college also provides scholarships on a merit basis and scholarship for SC/ST/PWD is also available. Scholarship schemes like Merit Cum Means Scholarship, Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC Students, Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for ST Students, National Scholarship for Higher Education for SC Students, National Scholarship for Higher Education for SC Students, scholarship Schemes operated by State Governments/Public authorities, Scholarship/Assistance provided by Educational/Private Institutes are available. Campus Life :
The campus of the college is well maintained. The infrastructure of the college is good. The PARSEC is the popular technical fest of the college where we are able to demonstrate our innovative skills. The college also celebrates Holi. The college library is the house of many bestsellers books and many international research journals are also available in the library. The college also follows a ragging policy very strictly.
Hostel Facilities :
The rooms of the hostel are spacious and big and bathrooms are attached to every room. The mess facility is also very good. The hostel mess food quality is good and the food is cooked in a very hygienic environment. The menu is vast and all types of dishes are available. The hostel also provides us 24 hours of power and electricity supply and a high-speed WiFi facility is also available. The staff and warden are highly trained and professional.
