Student's Review On Amal Jyothi College Of Engineering - [AJCE], Kanjirappally

Remarks :

Mainly the facilities that they offer. Infrastructure wise the college is really good. It is a beautiful campus. They have good library and lab facility. They also offer good placements. For promoting innovation and entrepreneurship they mediums like TBI and IEDC. College Hostel facility(fully mechanised kitchen, laundry system etc) is also excellent it's is capable of accommodating almost 2000 students.

Course Curriculum Overview :

ECE is good branch with lot of opportunities. Our syllabus was outdated but I think it got resolved with the change in university (mgu to KTU). Frankly speaking ajce ece is having very poor facualty. Most of the teachers are not having a good understanding on the topic that they are teaching. They only teach for exams. Most of them have ego issues. Most of them are not interested in making you understand the concepts. They simply covers topic for name sake. But they do have good faculties but their no. is small. We were not given any industrial exposure. But they do offer variety of courses and workshops to improve the technical skills of students like lab view, arduino workshops, gate coaching, training on optical fibre technology etc.

Placement Experience :

Mostly placements are offered by it companies like tcs, wipro etc. Were average package will be 3.6lpa. Very few core companies(in our time only a single core company came and it was an off-campus drive) offer opertunities and their offered package will be very low.

College Events :

The amal jyothi campus life can be very depressing. There are no technical fest(in our time). They don't offer sufficient opportunities for students to exhibit their talents. He hostel life can be very tough the management is very strict. Amal Jyoti do offer platform like i2u where the college funds your project if they finds the idea interesting. There are opportunities to improve your technical skills in ajce.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is very good. It's capable of accommodating almost 2000 students. Hostel is very clean. They regularly clean hostel rooms. They have highly mechanised kitchen and laundery system. But I found the hostel to be very strict. We were allowed to go out of hostel only with prior approval of warden.

The students become eligible for the campus placements in the 6th semester. The average students getting placed in the mechanical department are about 30%. My plan after completing my mechanical engineering degree is to go for masters in business administration

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum contains a vast area of nursing aspects and they include OSKI as a new component of the nursing curriculum which prepares as well enough to face the job interviews ahead. But the time limit is so short that we find it difficult to complete the syllabus on time. As the syallabus has changed to semester system we are expected to write exams more frequently but that is good as it helps as to improve our writing skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture is a tough and time taking course, the syllabus fine in the first three years but later on it becomes hectic. Maybe the syllabus can be reduced and I feel that five years is too long for architecture degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course mainly because of the job opportunities. There is plenty of teaching and non-teaching staff in the college. All the teaching staff has Mastered nursing and all are very talented teachers. The teaching method is lecturing and av aids are also used by the teachers like projectors. The exams are conducted after the completion of each unit. It's an average tough exam to score good marks. The only problem is that exams will be conducted daily and the personal behavior of some staff may vary from person to person.

No campus placement is provided by college because it is a government college. After getting degree I planned to practice in Kerala high court and also wants to attempt judicial service examination. I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.
