Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is in line with most of the top B-Schools in India. We have many senior faculty who have taught many CEOs of top Indian Companies. Most of them have doctorate degrees. For now, teaching has been online but teachers have put diligent efforts in making ppts explaining to students. Also, the assignments help us to improve our knowledge and are generally group projects to improve the students bonding in an online environment. Term exams were on time as mentioned in the academic calendar, they were of moderate difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
There are lots of companies that visit the campus for interviews, most of the students get SIPs. One of my seniors whom I know did a Risk Management internship with HDFC. The Stipend of the internship is not known to me for now but it's around 20 -40k.
Placement Experience
The college has a good placement record with 90% and more students getting placed. The lowest package is around 7 LPA and last year's highest package was around 19 LPA. Before that it was 55 LPA, the average package is around 9 LPA. So with a fee of less than 2Lacs it provides a very good ROI. The alumni base of our college is very strong with management in top positions in most Indian Companies. The top companies which visit the campus are American Express, KPMG, ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra, Edelweiss Tokio, HSBC, Bacardi, MG Motor, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Phone Pe and so on. I plan to get a job as Financial Analyst after my MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of our college is likely the most affordable among all Business schools in India. It's around 13,750 per semester. Since the semester is online for now I have no idea of campus jobs. Though I went to University once I think there are no campus jobs. Only jobs are for SRF and JRF which are either teaching or research jobs.
Campus Life
There is a huge library of Panjab University as well as we have our own library focused on Business subjects. Yes, there are journals as well in the library. The classroom is spacious and well built for the study environment at a Business School. There are a plethora of sports and extracurricular activities on campus as it is a campus of Panjab University. The campus is big with lots of greenery and lots of space. All the amenities are available like books shop, restaurant, stationary, general store, post office, bank and much more. There are various clubs like Mudra, Business Cell, Alumni Relationship cell, environment club, and so on, all of them are either directly run by students or with senior faculty supervision.
Interview Experience
Yes, I had a GD as the last round before getting my seat in MBA at UBS, Chandigarh. I believe it was taken by some senior faculty member. The interview was a constructive one, they asked about why MBA, why UBS, tell me about yourself after that there were some questions about which field I want to choose and they further asked questions about finance as that field I chose. To know my interests. To check my past knowledge they did ask some questions from B.Tech most of them were like an overlap between technology and business application.
Other Applied Colleges
NIT | MBA
In my MBA interview there were more of M.Tech questions and only one about MBA. I found it odd.
