Summer Internship Placement

Remarks :

The last cut-off of the CAT percentile for PGDMHR was around 88 percentile and for PGDM was around 91-92 percentile. The admission process involved an article written in 15 minutes followed by a Personal Interview. My interview revolved around my graduation and why I want to opt for Human Resources despite having a background in finance. Overall admission process went smoothly and systematically.

Course Curriculum Overview :

We have term exams after every 1.5 months approximately. Exams are quite challenging as exams revolve mostly around case studies and how well are we able to apply our knowledge. Basically, there's nothing right or wrong but how well we are able to put our ideas and are we able to apply the knowledge we learned in class. Exams get a little difficult to crack as if we know the concept we can write the answers easily but if we don't then there's no point in wasting your time on it and if we have written an answer it might turn out to be completely wrong as the concept applied was not correct.

Internships Opportunities :

Job roles offered to revolve around Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, Analytics, Banking and Financial Services, Strategy and General Management, etc. Companies like Capgemini, Infosys, EY, Deloitte, etc visit campus for Summer Internship Placement as well.

Placement Experience :

Summer Internship week started in October this year. The highest and average stipend received last year was 2,00,000 and 50,000 respectively. And the final placement last year was 30,00,000 highest salary and 13,00,000 average salary. Previous organizations - Accenture, Amazon, Deloitte, Capgemini, Infosys, EY, Delhivery, Kotak, etc.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees for IMI, New Delhi is around 18.34 lakh (excluding hostel) spread over 6 installments. Fees is comparatively high and the only problem is it's campus. IMI do not have a big campus as compared to the fees we are paying. Cost to study in online mode is worst for every college and same with IMI. As online classes are not as effective. Scholarship is provided to students whose family income is less than 8lakh rupees depending on their performance at the time of admission and overall performance. To apply for scholarship, you have to provide proper evidence and papers to prove the same. I didn't apply for a scholarship but this is the scheme the college follows.

Campus Life :

We have two big events - Conventus which is held in September. It is an event where we invite some CXO level people from prominent industries where round table discussion happen regarding various areas of interest. Kritva - It is an annual fest spread over 6 weeks from December to February where we have lot of opportunities and events by different clubs and societies. We have 5 committees, 11 clubs and student affair bodies and 11 societies. Every club conducts it's own intra-college as well as inter-college events before and during kritva. We have a separate club of sports where they conduct different activities on different events. Socities take care of other extra-curricular activities like singing, dancing, acting, etc. IMI library has a very good collection and access to students.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel fees include mess charges, etc. Is around 2,18,000 for one year. The fees are made in two installments and rooms are given on a first come first serve basis. All rooms have A/C and rooms are either double sharing or single occupancy rooms. Fees for a hostel are paid accordingly. We do not have much review on meal quality, etc as we are still studying online and we haven't experienced a college hostel yet.

Interview Experience :

The admission process includes a written test followed by a Personal Interview. The topic for WAT was "Social Responsibility is important for business". Interview questions revolved around GK (Who is our HRD minister, which campaign is launched to stop female foeticide, etc) and graduation questions. Followed by some generic questions like "why are Jain called Jain" After WAT, every student was given an order and an estimated time on when their Interview will happen and the process was systematic.

Placement Experience:

Placement of the colleges is very nice after the internship gap after that we have semester 3 and while we are in semester 3 the companies start approaching us domain wise so if one is into marketing they will have so many options and is there into operations we have very few companies so it's a thing in the college but if you are someone who isn't place the college will take care all though they provide enough companies like in internship in my batch we had around 40 companies and I feel like in the placement they also help a lot

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am a MBA student. I wanted to do it for my own father's company. But I've faced a lot of issues in my 1 sem. Also i would like to tell about the teacher of QT because of her i got a back in my exams. Improvements are surely required because most of the students fail in QT. I've asked from my seniors too there is no management for this subject. Also the exam level was high because we didn't knew what even the syllabus was

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for final placements in third semester and summer placements in the first semester itself. We have many big names here in the campus JP Morgan Chase and Co, Morgan Stanley, AON, ICICI Bank, Atomberg, Hindalco, Deloitte, KPIT, Samsung, etc. Almost all the students get placed here. I'd the percentage is above 90. The highest placement offered was 26LAC+ and the average stood at 14lacs. I am currently intern at a company via the college placements and am working towards getting a PPO. If I get one, I plan on staying in the same company.

Placement Experience:

College offers its students placements which makes them give a loud shout-out. Although the placement process is hair-raising, the results are out of the league when compared to the rest of B-schools. Please check the placement report in detail from our website, because my words won't be able to do justice to the results we have.

Remarks:

My experience with the USMS IPU institute was pretty exceptional. I would definitely recommend this institute for whosoever is looking to pursue a master's degree in the region. Admissions are on the basis of the entrance exam organized by the university, itself. Infrastructure is world-class and everyone is pretty supportive here.
