Remarks :

I've availed the management quota and if you've not written any of the entrance exams you need to take an NRI quota. There was a week of induction program which helps the students get familiar with the college facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The teachers are well qualified and some of them are quite friendly. The time they conduct the term exams keeps on changing as it is under the esteemed KTU University. The university exams are hard to pass and the evaluation is extremely poor.

Class Size : 47Course Fees : INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

There are various workshops being conducted inside the campus by various branches. Students of this and other colleges can also join these workshops as they will also be rewarded with activity points .

Placement Experience :

The campus placements start from the third year. There are several companies visiting for the recruitment process including Wipro and TCS. Most of the students opt for the campus placement but some don't as they're looking to go for higher studies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees for management quota students is around 1.5 lakhs per annum, it increases if you take the NRI quota. The fees for merit seat students is very low compared to this. There are also several scholarships available for students.

Campus Life :

There are several clubs including the IEEE and NSS and many more on the campus for students. Sports and extracurricular activities are well supported. The amenities inside the classroom are adequate.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel is near to the campus and the facilities are also nice. The meals from the mess are comparatively good. The rooms and corridors are cleaned regularly and regular maintenance is done for the rooms and equipment.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
