Welcome on-board, IIIT Pune is waiting for you.

Remarks :

First and foremost reason was the brand name IIIT. Getting into a national college under MHRD brings many profits. It's an autonomous college in a public private partnership with govt. Admission is only through JEE mains exam and cut offs are really going higher every year due to the high placement and good ranking of the college improving every year. For student reviews and placement stats visit iiitp.ac.in

Course Curriculum Overview :

Yes the intake has increased over years since the starting of IIIT Pune which has decreased the faculty:student ratio a bit but till my batch, the strength was equally balanced and the faculties are qualified enought with PHD's etc. Term exams are taken timely and the dates are well mentioned and the terms take place twice with one final semester exam. There's a proper schedule and the exam cell manages it properly while keeping notices on notice board. It's an autonomous college so, the faculties are the one who teach, make paper and check themselves too. The paper levels are quiet matching their class teachings and if in objection, you can directly reach out to the faculty for attendance or exam marking related issues.

Internships Opportunities :

College has internship drives running in the pre-final year of the curriculum and some companies visit on campus for that too. Yes, through college i got a Summer Internship of 2å_ months at Nuance Communications with a stipend of 25k. The projects and the tasks can't be shared or discussed outside the organisation as per the policy but the work experience was great.

Placement Experience :

Placements are going good as of now. Last year's(2021) placed percentage was 90+ which means more or less everyone got placed. Students start with their placement season in 7th semester and that's when companies start arriving on campus for recruitments either with direct job offers or internships convertible to jobs. Highes package last year was 35lpa in Software developer role at Nutanix and this year it has grown out to 40lpa. This year's (2022) placement drive is still going on, average packages and placement brochures etc. Can be seen on the website iiitp.ac.in 's placement page.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

There are different valid scholarship programs from each state applied to several institutes of national importance like ours. Every state govt announces their programs and the respective registrar keeps pinging about the scholarship in the college group for students to apply. Fee is a bit higher than any other college around in Pune but the placements and internships make it worth it by the end of the college. I got a summer internship at Nuance communications with stipend 25k.

Campus Life :

Talking about college, there's a big library which serves all the students at once and like me, there will be no need to buy any book in whole curriculum, library is enough. Classrooms have projectors and teachers come up with their laptops if they want a presentation to be done in classes, rest all emities like sports room, music room, an auditorium used to be there in our previous campus. As the institute is newly established, the campus is still under construction and we are on rent at other college's premises in Pune right now. There are several clubs in the college include robotics, music, dance, web development, arts, design, drama, coding, sports, etc. Can be checked on the college website. There are technical and non technical fests organised by student groups in the college some of them are I-Conclave (technical) , iklavya- the annual sports fest and many other functions like freshers, farewell etc are organised on a big scale.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are good. Drinking water is a problem, a bit rough and due to that people also had water cans supply from different sources. The mess and menu is organised and managed by student's association only so there will be no complaints not getting tackled. Hostel is pretty affordable, a room sharing of two or three with attached bathroom serves great.

Admission :

No, the admission process is totally governed by JOSAA and CSAB like for any other IIT, NIT or IIIT. Preparation for JEE exam can be monitored and managed through self studies too they have proper defined syllabus.

The internal exams are very important to give and also it is very difficult to pass in internals. In the exam, the supervisors are also 2 in each class and they are also very strict. No student can copy in this college. The faculties are also highly educated and their teaching method is also very good. The college has 2 computer labs also.
