Remarks :
The admission process was smooth enough, during my time it was offline but now it has online admission application facilitiy ,which is very help for students . I applied for Lcb college only and i got shortlisted on the basis of my merit and no other colleges i proposed further. The admission criteria is as normal to others ,the basic 55% criteria for all and relaxation for the reserved candidates The admission process was simple, after 1dt merit list there is admission and after the admission is done there is 2nd counselling for the vacant seats if available
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum was perfectly designed for 3 year's couse and was much understandable for the no computer science background students too. I choose this cause everyone does BTech but i was not Fortunate enough to get in government IIT and NIT so i choose BCA here as this is one of the finest college in the region. The Faculties are very much well versed in knowledge in the field of IT and every has his/her own research publications and Phd in the field. The exams were in the quarter and half-yearly basis,in which both of the two were qualifying in nature and the exam pattern was one of the best under Gauhati University , curriculum
Internships Opportunities :
There is no Internship opportunity provided by the college but internship opportunities are referred for students to many different companies like Zaloni, BSNL, vodafone idea etc. The main part is the project,in the last year process , project play's a major role in the course which is thoroughly guided by the guides and helps proper outcome.
Placement Experience :
The placement facilities are good enough for students on their bachelor degree , many tech companies and start-up do visit for placement. From the final year i.e. 4th and 5th semester, students are eligible for attending the campus placements Many tech giants like Wipro, TCS,Tech Mahindra etc offer placement opportunities to students even though during COVID times ,there were virtual drive for the students . Every year in an average more than 10 students get placed in the campus drives. The average salary packages are good, ranging from 3LPA to 5LPA. In an average or we say based on records every 10 out of 30 students gets placed in the company's.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees are a little high as compared to other courses as because it was a professional technical degree and a self financed course under Guahati University ,but the amount is affordable based on the course value and structure. There are many scholarship schemes for meritorious students from the government as well as from the College. Financial assistant to poor students,there is a poor aid fund scheme for the poor sbut meritorious students. There is many on campus opportunity from company like Wipro TCS, and mahindra and many startup are also interested in the college placement schemes.
Campus Life :
The college life what everyone says was same for me rather much exiting and full of fun, knowledgeable and pleasureous. Every year in the month of February there is sports and cultural week along with many inter and intra college,house games etc. The library is well enough for the all type of books needed ,on the other hand many different books are available for outkowledge and also has a different journal , published papers etc. The classroom are big,well structured and relaxing ,ine of the best fit for the student Many social helping groups like AIDS society, NCC , Sports team for Inter University games in National level.
