I have applied for the Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Sector - 50, Chandigarh. The reason for applied this college is because the college infrastructure was very good. I got admission in this college in General category. The admission criteria for this college is merit base.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because I completed my Secondary education from the vocational course that why I have good knowledge in this course. The college faculty was very good, well experienced. There is 40 student in one class. All teachers are UGC qualified, PhD. The first term exam was conducted in December and the second term of the exam was conducted in the month of May. The exam was not many tough.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 42000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

BCA per semester fees is 21000/- (approx). College Provide SC, ST, OBC, and Minorities communities scholarship. At the time of admission, you will give full fees but after some, your fees will be refunded, if you filling the scholarship form. College did not provide any time for campus placements.

Campus Life

College conducted annual fest in Month of April. The fest name was Yuvclique. All college students can participate in this festival and win prizes. And I.T. students conducted their own festival. The festival name was Techinfomatics. The College library was very big all types of are present there, the student does not need to purchase any type of books from the market.

Placement Experience:

1. After 6 semesters the students become eligible for there college placements 2.The companies that visited my college are google microsoft and various other large tech companies and the largest offer made to our students were 1 crore ctc 3. The highest package was 1 crore ctc in our college and average package is that of 15 lpa in our college 4.There are 50-60% of students that get placements from our college 5.My plans after getting the degree is to get a good placement offer if not then getting into an multinational firm

Students can attend placement seminars in their last year of graduation. There are mostly placement offers for the role of sales and marketing or chat-call executives. IT companies do visit also but very rarely and they only hire only 5 to 10 candidates. There are sometimes unpaid internship opportunities available too.

BCA in itself is not a very good course that will gurantee your placement in a good company with high package, Its relevance is high only beacuse its easy to complete and get the degree. For good packages you have to do MCA or work harder on your skill to get a good job. BCA helps in building base of your coding career, it offers a good grasp of C/CPP, Java and DataStructure.

Sggs is alright, if you dont expect much

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because i was interested in computers and didn't wanted to do arts, and i was underqualified for other streams. Every class has about 45 students, the number vary but not much. The faculty and teachers are helpful. There maybe some slacking by both sides here and there but its alright. The teaching mathod varies. If you know what youre doing the exams are not that hard to pass.

College is truly wonderful

Placement Experience:

In 4th or 5th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Many companies visited like, amazon, paytm, flipkart, skrill, justdial, swiggy, zomato and many more. 90% students got placed. The minimum average package companies offered to students is around 1.5 lakhs and maximum 2.5 lakhs.

Excellent collage in chandigarh

Placement Experience:

Every year number of companies visit college to give student jobs. Well known companies visit in college like Google Amazon Tata Nike etc. In the last semester we are eligible for campus placement. The highest package was given by Amazon to one of the student of our college Was 2 crore per annum. The average package of our college was 20 lakh per annum. There are likely all the students Get placement. I had planned to become a software developer after my degree was completed

I applied for 5 college sd mcm dav gccba 50 and pgcc 11 and i got admission into 2 colleges mcm and gccba 50 . Yes I did apply to other colleges. But this college was my top preference.This is the best college for commerce if you are there to study. No i didn't get any rejection from other colleges.
