Remarks :
I have got this college from my JEE Mains rank(50,298). I had applied for other colleges like NIT Raipur, NIT Rourkela, etc. But unfortunately, I didn't get a decent branch in any of these colleges. The admission procedure of Veer Surendra sai University of Technology, Burla was overall smooth, though many documents were required like : Birth certificate, Resident Certificate, Father's income certificate, Medical certificate, Aadhar card xerox.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose to study computer science and engineering as I enjoy making websites and learning some cool tech stuff. Facilities are decent, not good, not bad, and highly-qualified. Term exams were conducted timely earlier than the pandemic.
Internships Opportunities :
I currently haven't done any internships yet, but they provide internships from companies like BSNl, BHEL and also keep in touch with other companies like credit Suisse so that they can come for recruitment on the campus.
Placement Experience :
Students from the 7th semester are eligible for placements. If you are in a top branch like Cse or IT, you should be able to bag a decent package. Companies like IBM, Delloite, Infosys, wipro, etc visit our campus for recruitment. On campus highest packages range around 10 LPA and the average package around 5 LPA. Around 70% of the students get placed.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure is obviously cheaper than private colleges. If you stay in a hostel then you can think of around spending approximate 4 lakh rupees, in the entire 4 years Btech course, including hostel and tuition fees. Students can get a Tuition fee waiver scheme according to the income of their parents.
Campus Life :
Overall the campus is decent and Clubs are actively working even in the pandemic. The library is pretty decent. But classes are not maintained properly, fans are old aged. There are various clubs in our college like Entrepreneurship cell, Robotics Society, IIC and more.
Hostel Facilities :
The new hostel buildings are awesome and the quality of food is also decent, but if you are being alloted in an old hostel it is a problem. Bathrooms and rooms are not maintained, washing machines are also not functional all the time. Hostel and mess fees will be around 30,000 per year.
