Remarks :

Thakur institute of management studies and research has very good infrastructure, good library with vast collection of books. They also have access to scholar papers and reports though couple of accounts which helps a lot in research. college life is full

Entrance Preview :

MH-CET. The insitute was near to my office sobi saved lot on travelling time. Institute accepted cet score. Then there was Gd & PI after which I got into this college

Course Curriculum Overview :

Curriculum was very updated, digital marketing, ecommerce, erp were the subjects. Curriculum covered most of the management aspects from CSR to financial modelling. They also organized advance excel training. But I feel some portion of marketing was not that well covered.

Internships Opportunities :

I worked with IMRB for my summer internship. Got first hand knowledge about market research. I was selected as a TL and handle couple of projects with team size of 20. I made over 30000 in my internship for 2 months

Placement Experience :

Good Companies do come to campus with lucrative profile.percept, L&T, Hdfc bank, icici bank, citi group, Bajaj capital, Bajaj finance, IMRB, Nielsen, India today, Hindustan times, 99 acers, ITC, PepsiCo, Burp, Business standard are few companies

College Events :

Evoke is an annual management fest. It has different events related to different stream of management. In 2012 there was participation from more than 30 colleges locally. Than every year institute holds an seminar related to different field, where students, faculty member and corporate representative present their research papers, this event is a pan India event, participation and response is immense

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Expensive. The fee structure is expensive compared to other colleges in Mumbai. Total course fee is divided in two installments and have to pay every year equal amount

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There was scholarship offered which was strictly management decision. There wasn't direct loan facilities but many banks would give easy loan.

Campus Life :

Good opportunity to explore creativity. I was part of over 50 events in span of 2 years. From being a team member to heading complete events. Gender ratio was quite balanced. Pg course most of the students were gujuraties and MMS course most of the students were north Indian, as institute offers minority status to students having Hindi mother tongue.

Hostel Facilities :

No idea because I didn't stayed in hostel. But the hostel was common for engineering and management students. The cost of living here was expensive as the institute is located in upmarket area.

Alumni/Alumna :

College have alumni cell in placed. Every year there is an event where almunies are invited to be part of the small party. The alumni network is well settled.

Exam Structure :

Exams were well schedule we were given dates at the start of the term. Exams are divided into 4 different semester. Most of the curriculum & syllabus is covered by end of 3 sem. Giving good opportunity to students to work for corporate

Faculty :

Most of the faculty was outstanding in term of knowledge and very easy to approach. While some was teaching just because they were bored at home. Faculty members are very well experienced in their respective field and have good teaching knowledge.

Placement Experience:

There is a dedicated placement cell that looks at the placements of MBA students. The final year students sit for placements. Until now the placements are not so good but it is improving at a steady rate. Companies such as Accenture, Deloitte, Flipkart, Amazon, ICICI Bank and others come for placements. I don’t have a clear idea about the packages offered but it was around 7-8 LPA on an average.

Placement Experience:

Placements here are decent. The average package of the batch is around 8 lakhs, which is nice considering the pandemic. A lot of good companies visit the campus like Goldman Sachs, Ernst, and Young, KPMG, Deloitte, etc. So, if you perform well here then you can get a good placement from the campus.

College is a little fast paced. Each semester lasts only for 3 months where we have to study 8 subjects in addtion to assignment, presentation, class tests.Social life gets affected if you are a localite as you have to travel to powai which isn't well connected via metro and railways.

Entrance Preview:

I got admission on the bases of my undergraduate scores which was very good. Admission process of this college was good and very simple.

Placement Experience:

Companies like JP Morgan, KPMG, PWC, E&Y have come to the campus and offered 10000/- to 20000/- monthly stipend. I have attended roughly one of those. Regretfully, I cannot provide you with the details of the number of students placed and the exact amount offered because I was not a member of the placement cell. But the college had a placement cell which conducted weekly meetings and trained the students for interviews.
