Remarks

There are various branches of Amity all over India and the one placed at Mumbai is one of its finest. It is ranked 49 for MBA/PGDM by Times in 2021. I gave the CAT exam but students can apply through MAT and GMAT as well. The application form can be filled in both online and offline with some requisite charges. Overall it is a good place to get a MBA degree.

Course Curriculum Overview

When we give a look into the curriculum it is highly advanced. There are a plethora of subjects to be studied which is beneficial for management students. Along with theory, there are practical based industry visits, project work and case studies. The students are groomed to be fit for management roles. The professors help the students immensely and they are our guide in this journey. The exams are taken on a timely basis to check your knowledge and skills.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

An internship program is mandatory for the MBA course. The internship experience comes in handy during the placements. We get an internship after our second semester. Companies such as TATA, Wipro, HDFC Bank and others come for internships. The internships can be both paid and unpaid based on the company.

Placement Experience

4.5

There is a dedicated placement cell that looks at the placements of MBA students. The final year students sit for placements. Until now the placements are not so good but it is improving at a steady rate. Companies such as Accenture, Deloitte, Flipkart, Amazon, ICICI Bank and others come for placements. I don’t have a clear idea about the packages offered but it was around 7-8 LPA on an average.

Fees and Financial Aid

In the MBA program, a total of 2.8 Lakh rupees is to be given per semester. Thus in the two-year MBA program, a total of 11.2 Lakh rupees is to be paid. The fees can be a bit too much but there are various scholarships to fill the void. 100% scholarship is given to the students who get over 90 percentile in CAT followed by 50% and 25% scheme.

Campus Life

4.5

Just like other branches, the faculty here is top class. I don’t have a clear idea about the campus due to the pandemic but I have visited the campus before and on a first look I fell in love with that. The campus has all the facilities required for the students. As the classes run online the fests and events which can be arranged online are done so. We have received copies of our course books sent through the post. Thus overall the place is suitable for learning and growing.

Interview Experience

5

Once you make it through the cut-offs by your CAT score there are two other steps before the final admission – GD and PI. Due to the pandemic situation both of these rounds were taken online. It was a smooth process and there was no problem during the GD. The PI was easy and normal questions were asked related to my past academics and extracurricular activities.

The placement opportunity is great, but you have to maintain a good grade with zero backlogs. The campus placement cell offers multiple opportunities, but mostly students from the Engineering department got the highest LPA rather than other specialisations.

Placements are good, during our batch it was pretty low because of the recession and other economic parameters. In MBA mostly the companies come for marketing jobs so mostly the jobs offered was sales, but as the college has became university i think every process has been changed and could result in good placement.

1) students become eligible for placements just after they complete their second semester examinations 2) only local companies visited to our colleges such as per Pooja, weblink services etc which were very small scale local organisations offering very poor packages to the students 3) the average package that my batch got was 2.lakhs per annum and the highest was 6 lpa where before admission the college claimed the average packages to be 6lpa and Highest to be above 10lpa 4) the percentage of students getting placed is not more than 10-15% 5)my plans after getting the degree is to look for better companies outside my college because my college hasn't been helpful in terms of placements in any manner .

College is almost good .this for those who want only masters but no placement .if you also want to get placed in any company need only degree ur welcome. The management is worst the nonteaching staff doesn't know how to talk with students especially the admission office. I here declare whatever I have seen and suffered I presented my view about this college to you, not it's your choice to go to heaven like symbiosis or choose hell. I was misguided and helpless so I came here means I got fewer marks in a snap so please students appear for snap sincerely.
