Remarks :

I think any M.Sc student would be happy if they get the opportunity of pursuing their Master's from the IIT group due to the esteem name it has across the country. After searching about my eligibility for IITs as per entrance score, IIT Patna was the best choice for me and I was happy to get M.Sc- Physics seat here. The counselling rounds also play a very Important role in the admission procedure here.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Being a lot into Physics and its related entities from my XI standard, I did my graduation in this field and wanted to do Phd in the same. That's why I opted for M.Sc- Physics at IIT Patna so that I can add a great chapter to my educational journey. The faculty here was the best being from the leading institutes across the globe and I don't think any institute can match the quality IIT Patna maintained in its course curriculum

Internships Opportunities :

Doing my Master's from the prestigious IIT group was great, and the internship I got made my experience greater. It was cool wondering under the real time possibilities of the field and I throughouly enjoyed learning more through it as I was going to do my PhD after M.Sc.

Placement Experience :

For the batch of 2018-20 also the prime focus of recruiters were technical courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech but I think the M.Sc students also got some great offers. There were 95+ recruiters in the round and we were able to maintain an average salary of INR 14.7 lpa due to the healthy packages IIT Patna received. Leading firms were present there from Research, IT and Technical sectors.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

IIT Patna is among the leading institutes of the country and even with this name its M.Sc fee structure is very low. The institute charged INR 54,300 from general students while the reserved students had to pay INR 34,500 for the same. I applied for the Physics specialisation while for the other M.Sc courses also fee structure was same

Campus Life :

I can't say anything about other's, but for a person like me campus life mattered a lot and that requirement was filled with flying colours by IIT Patna. We had regular Quizzes, academic competitions, annual cultural fest and a well organised Sports festival. In short, our institute was pretty good in terms of activities also.The college library, computer lab and Canteen services also added to students campus experience and for all different arrangements particular clubs- societies were established.

Hostel Facilities :

It was the first time I had come out of my home-state West Bengal and obviously I was little unfamiliar with the environment in the start but slowly it all got on track. We had a total of 4 boys hostels and the annual fee for us was INR 45,000 including mess services within. Alongside well organised rooms and quality mess food, we also got sport's facilities, internet connectivity and a common room for the wellness. I must say that I got more then what I had imagined to get in IIT Patna hostels.

Hostel Fee : INR 45000 per year

Admission :

Eligibilities for M.Sc at IIT Patna are a valid score in IIT JAM entrance, graduation in the relevant field with atleast 55% marks. The selections of students are made on the basis of candidates entrance score and counselling having 4 rounds in it. The final selection are also based on the choice filling, category etc factors.

POV of an IITP student

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always had an interest in the world of technology in computers, so obviously when the opportunity to study CSE in an IIT popped up, I took it with both hands. Our courses are to the point and designed keeping in mind the relevant skills in today's tech world. The only drawback is that after all these years of revolution in education, we still got to study all the common subjects in our 1st year of B.Tech. There are two exams each semester with frequent quizzes in between.

Best college in terms of placement and opportunities

Placement Experience:

The campus placement here is very good. The percentage is around 90%. Internships are also offered on campus from the third year and stipend starts from 50K /month. Almost all multinational tech companies and startps visit here for campus placement. The placement in the core sector is also very good. the average package in this year is around 16 LPA and highest is around 82 LPA from Atlassian. Also, after graduating the admisssion to Post Graduate Curses become easy since you hold a degree of NIT Patna which is a institute of national importance.

Glimpses of M.A.C.E.T

Course Curriculum Overview:

The ratio of students to faculty is 60:1. Qualification of the faculty is M.tech, and their teaching style is very impressive. And one can understand it easily.
