Rajagiri Culture

Remarks :

Pros:RSET is known for its great results and high standards.Very good learning atmosphere.Excellent building and maintenanceGood and renown facultiesGreat labsCons:Canteen is smaller compared to the number of studentsAdmission process:Apply through Rajagiri portal (website) for college merit.Give your 12th marks and KEAM engineering entrance results.Applied students will be ranked according to the marks. If you are listed , go to the college on the prescribed date and participate in selection program. If seats are available, you will be selected to desired branch according to number of seats remaining.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course is mainly theory basedPractical exams are thereGood and useful theoryExcellent labsGood and experienced facultyThere are 2 semester exams per year and 2 internal exams per semester.Exams are usually medium level to tough

Internships Opportunities :

I haven't opted for any internship in the college. However, college provides timely workshop opportunities and clubs through which students can improve their technical skills and earn essential activity points. Seminars and talks are also conducted. However, I got an opportunity to work with ATWIC private Ltd, a startup company functioning in the college. Though the exposure was quite informative, we couldn't take most of its advantage due to the sudden closure of college because of pandemic

Placement Experience :

Students will be eligible from sem7.Coaching is given for placement tests.Usually over 97% students get placed.Excellent computer facilities for placement drivesHighest packages include Rs 500000 and aboveLowest packages vary from 250000 and 320000Some of the companies that students get placed are Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Kalkitech, ABB etc

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Tuition fees range from 75000 to 90000 per year. A caution deposit of Rs 1 lakh has to be given.Scholarships are availableFee waivers reducing the fee to Rs10000 is provided to students who scored well in KEAM entrance examScholarships were given during admission to students who got marks above 90% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

Campus Life :

Social life is quite dry. However many students manage to participate in extra curricular and social activities. Many of them enjoy to their fullest too. But most of the students especially 1st year students concentrate on studies and stay away from cultural fests like Bharatham. There are organizations like Jesus youth, Hangouts and sports clubs. However co-curricular clubs like IEDC and IEEE and their activities often overtake the extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facility is quite exquisite. Boys hostel looks like star hotel. Girls hostel is a little far from college compared to boys hostel. Rooms and toilets are clean. Food is of mediocre quality. Most of the times, food is good. However, once in a while it can be poor quality too.

Admission :

No, there wasn't any group discussion, interview or personal interview for college merit admission. I haven't heard of the same in case of Government merit seats too. The faculty just checked the profile asked me my name and place of study.

The students become eligible for the campus placements in the 6th semester. The average students getting placed in the mechanical department are about 30%. My plan after completing my mechanical engineering degree is to go for masters in business administration

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum contains a vast area of nursing aspects and they include OSKI as a new component of the nursing curriculum which prepares as well enough to face the job interviews ahead. But the time limit is so short that we find it difficult to complete the syllabus on time. As the syallabus has changed to semester system we are expected to write exams more frequently but that is good as it helps as to improve our writing skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Architecture is a tough and time taking course, the syllabus fine in the first three years but later on it becomes hectic. Maybe the syllabus can be reduced and I feel that five years is too long for architecture degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course mainly because of the job opportunities. There is plenty of teaching and non-teaching staff in the college. All the teaching staff has Mastered nursing and all are very talented teachers. The teaching method is lecturing and av aids are also used by the teachers like projectors. The exams are conducted after the completion of each unit. It's an average tough exam to score good marks. The only problem is that exams will be conducted daily and the personal behavior of some staff may vary from person to person.

No campus placement is provided by college because it is a government college. After getting degree I planned to practice in Kerala high court and also wants to attempt judicial service examination. I also planned to join LLM at central University or in Canada. In Canada there are many opportunities for LLB graduates.
