Remarks :

The admission process was merit based, at first fill Delhi university ug form, the eligibility criteria for getting admitted is 85 percent in 12th standard, for BSc Hons home science there are a total of 3 College in Delhi University in which you can apply according to the cutoff. Make sure your best four subjects ( physics, chemistry, biology, English, accounts, business studies, economics) scores lie within the required cut off, then you can apply for college get the printout of the admission letter and visit the college with all your original and photocopy of documents, they will verify your documents and then you will have pay the fee through du portal online.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty here is just amazing, teachers are always ready to help and you can share everything you want with them, ihe feels like a second home. There is 5 department in home science. 1-food and nutrition. 2 human development. 3- resource management. 4 communication. 5 fashion and textile. Of which we can select any of the departments for specialisation as per your interest and grades in previous semesters. This course provides a variety of scope we have a lot of options to choose from and know our interest. The crowd here is awesome, helpful but in every college, there is some good and bad so it's completely on you. Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable with many contacts they can help you get internships. Semester examinations are held here for a total of 6 semesters, if you study well and attend all the classes then one can easily score well.

Internships Opportunities :

The placement cell of ihe provides various internship opportunities to students. The placement cell is run by college students. Various startup companies provide internships that are usually unpaid and for 2-3 months. Internships are not related to the course but are related to environment, teaching, ngo, marketing, content writing and so on. Which are of no use to us except they can help us enhance our personality, build confidence.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees are affordable. The total course fees are around 80 -85 k ( including examination fees (2k ), lab fee (100-200 per sem), tuition fee). Books, photocopy, travel, hostel expenses can be added separately that depends on the distance of college to home, type of study material, if you live in a hostel or pg. No, scholarship is provided by the college. The only freeship is provided only once in 3 year course. No on campus placement is available, there is a placement society in college ( placement cell of ihe ) but still, the placement opportunities are nil.

Campus Life :

Life in ihe is fun, as the location of the college is amazing. The library is fully air conditioned, with all the study material, notes, newspapers, books required for the course, and one can easily issue them with the identity card provided by the college, we can also photocopy the Library book chapters from the photocopy shop available near the Library, Furniture is well furnished and maintained. There are various societies in which we can become a member like dance (elegenza), theatre ( navrang), fashion ( poise ) society and many more. Poise is the most famous society of our college. The annual fest organised by the college is feria, but I prefer the fest of other colleges of du.

Placement Experience:

Placements here are just awesome as they offer an average package of about 7-10 lpa but here most of the roles are slightly bent over the analyst role which means that more analyst roles are offered than others.

The placement are quite okay but college do prepare us for real world. Collgee do organise various events and seminars where renowned speakers come and share their stories and tell about how to implement things in real world. Remarks:

Although college is not big in terms of infrastructure and has limited classrooms but all the facilities are available like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, library etc. And they all are very good despite of government college all these facilities are in good working conditions.
