Entrance Preview :

Kerala state engineering entrance examination. I also got admission in various colleges. Primarily the distance of college from my home made me select this college.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course is good and the faculty was very helpful. Since its mechanical engineering there are plenty of scope for research and the faculty is very capable of assisting. The course follows the syllabus provided by kerala University and was well covering all the aspects and areas of interest in the field of mechanical engineering.

Internships Opportunities :

No there is no internship provided by the college. But there are placement drives every year by top multi national companies.

Placement Experience :

I don't recall the real numbers. But there are so many who got placed in companies like wipro, infosys, speridian, Accenture, ibs etc. But being a mechanical engineer its hard to find placement via private colleges. So don't expect to get placed when you study mechanical engineering in a private college like this.

College Events :

Many cultural events and social events are conducted by the college and students. Equinox is one of the famous cultural fest which is conducted by the college every year. It includes some of the best programs of the state itself. In addition to that sports day youth festivals etc are conducted at the college. One main event is the computer science department's tech fest which includes gaming competition.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Scholarship s are provided by the college management for poor wards who cannot afford the fee. But it will can be availed only if you are brighter than other students. But you can do it.

Alumni/Alumna :

Alumni network is very live and enthusiastic. They do send the event details every year. Also they carry out a reunion every year by associating the participation of all available members.

Exam Structure :

The exam structure strictly follows the university norms. The semester exams were conducted by the kerala University and it consists 2 parts for all theory paper. While labs were perfect in this college. That also follows the university syllabus and exams are conducted by the kerala University with an external from different college.

Admission :

The notification at that time was released by all Catholic colleges consortium. I filled a single form for more than 10 colleges under this consortium. Then I was called for interview and got selected. The administrative procedures were so simple and fluid.

Faculty :

All staffs were helpful at my time. The premises have strict rules regarding ward's behaviour. This is quite helpful for carving good behaviour aspects. The faculty at my time was very qualified and experienced. But as a private institution you also have to contribute in nurturing your subject knowledge.

NIT Cailcut-The Good,Bad and the Ugly

Placement Experience:

Students can apply for campus placements by the beginning of the 4th year.High paying companies are attracted by the placement cell which offer good packages to the students. The average packages for the circuital branch are pretty high. Each year about 200 companies are invited. The highest package for Electrical and Electronics has gone upto 38LPA with average package of about 14LPA in the graduation year 2024.About 128 students had registered out of which 120 students were placed.The minimum salary offered was 5LPA.

Is engineering here worth it?

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
