Remarks :

First and oldest engineering college of North east India. Good placement record plus 4 years cost is equal to IITs and NiTs one semester fees. Cracked cee and not JEE adv. The location of the college is at the main capital city of assam and easy access. Where NIt silchar is at a location where access by road is hectic and by train it is unpredictable during monsoon when will there be an landslide.

Course Curriculum Overview :

Course curriculum now is new and mostly practical oriented. Now this college is under Assam State Technical University. Faculties are friendly and like Local gurdian. They will not only help with academics also personally if you need any help from them.

Class Size : 97Course Fees : INR 100000 per year

Internships Opportunities :

Yes 1. NHPC, lower subansiri dam project 1 month internship2. Public health engineering guwahati assam 1 month 3. Kolkata metro rail corporation limited. 1 month.Thats all and they will take you for regulatlr and frquent industrial visits.

Placement Experience :

From 7 sem students can sit for placements, ONGC, OIL,NRL,Microsoft,Capegemini,Infosys, APDCL, KALPATARU, TVS MOTORS, AMAZON, Wipro.etc. highest package till date is 1800000 ctc and minimum 200000. My plan is for higher studies

Fee Structure And Facilities :

Admission fee per year - 12000 and examination fee nearly 3000 each sem (approx values) and hostel fee 2000-3000 per month.Scholarships -ishan uday, Minority, sc st, economically poor, NEC etc etc

Campus Life :

You will never forget AEC. thats i can gurantee. You will come as boy and will leave as man. Yes all the memories will be there. Green campus, fresh environment, near to Deepor Bill, hills, Calm environment, regular free bus for students and various clubs, comoetitions.etc etc

Admission :

Written test -CEE (COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATION ASSAM)2016. It is a paper consisting of basic class 12 questions levels almost similar to jee mains with 100 questions incl. all the 3 subjects physics chemistry and mathematics. 3hrs time. Regular study with basic understanding is enough.

NIT Silchar - Honest Review

Placement Experience:

The placements of this college were very good until last year but last year due to decline in tech jobs and the burst of the IT boom , the placements have declined to a significant amount and there is no hope of recovery anytime soon . As far as I have learned from my seniors, placements are not very satisfactory.

Entrance Preview:

IIT-JEE 2016 , AIR 6629 , IIT guwahati is a college. It has its name and fame. So i chose it because it has all the facilities like co curricular and has a beautiful campus to stay at.
