Remarks

Medical council of west Bengal organize 3 round for the students who clear the NEET exam, the 3rd round was a mop round from medical council of west Bengal, got the college, Guru Nanak Institute of Dental Science and Research, then on a particular given date, I got admission on this college

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

There is 3 internal exam and 1 professional exam on the last of the year. On the first year, there is 4 subject, every 200 marks including theory and practical, the pass marks is 50% of it and the required college attendance (75%) is too important, we have to clear the eligible marks to get on the next year. As we all know medical science is not so easy, so we always had to work hard to pass or getting good marks.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

BDS is a great outcome from financially as well as reputed respected job as a doctor. After completion of BDS, students try for MDS, if they clear there is greatest opportunity. Otherwise after BDS , the doctors open their own clinics or they apply for hospital job. But the stipend students are gotten from college on their internship that is too much less

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm a first-year student so I don't get any job or scholarship from campus. It's a private dental college so there is two quota, one is state quota, another is management quota. From State quota there is the total 4 year fees is 9 lakh and for management quota the fees of total 4 year is 24 lakh

Campus Life

5

Our college holds and organizes various kinds of social groups. There are 4-5 clubs in which students have to be joined. There is an anti-ragging committee and many of the students are the member of that committee.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college is situated at sodepur, panihati Kolkata and I'm a hostelites so I didn't rent ever for a room or PG. But as in this locality guru Nanak dental, technology, Pharmacy and hotel management college is situated so there are many more students, so enough pg or rented room is available

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teachers are very supportive and we have practicals and Clinical postings from 3rd year. We are given 10 patients each from 3rd year to treat. I think instead of two exams we must have two small weekly tests so that our memory power can increase.

The patient exposure in this curriculum is highly appreciable. The curriculum prepares us to do the best hand work in every possible manner. It prepares us to deal with the outside world independently. The course needs to be advertised a little bit,the awareness and view of people towards this needs to be improved which can be done by spreading awareness and providing more facilities to existing students in the field. The frequency and timing of exams are quite good as it prepares us for the best.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is a professional course, and there is still demand. There are 9 departments in the college itself and each has 5-8 teachers. Medical subjects are taught by Medical College Kolkata and their respective departments. Majority of the faculty are post graduate and most are more or less adept at what they do. Final exams are conducted by the WBUHS, and they keep changing the timings of the sessions.
