What Students Say
Likes
- Responsiveness of the administration in critical situation and student safety issues.
- Cleanliness of the college, this college campus is so clean, unlike the other medical or dental colleges.
- It's beside the Ganges river, so you can enjoy the view of The Ganges in leisure time.
Dislikes
- The campus, lack of trees, gets so hot in summer.
- The faculties and their teaching is good but quite unreliable and unpredictable, like after studying hard and giving your all potential in the exam, still you can't be sure if you gonna get promoted to next year or not.
Course Curriculum Overview
In childhood, I had braces which influenced me to be a Dentist. I had a very bad alignment of teeth, I went to an Orthodontist and he made my smile look good and from that day I decided to be a dentist. This curriculum will make a person or the pursuer a dentist at the end of the course. After that, you can prepare for NEET PG or any other courses or Government Job.
Internships Opportunities
As it's not an engineering college, we got to do internships under our own faculties. College management now giving rs. 5000/- per month for internship but I hope that will increase in the future. The project is to treat patients and the outcome is to be a good dentist.
Fees and Financial Aid
I don't know anything about the tution fee increase policy, you can directly talk to the college management by emailing them. You can get their email address on the website of KSD Jain Dental College and Hospital. The complete cost of my education is nearly about 16 to 20 lacs rupees. You can directly interact with the college management to know about the scholarships and financial aid available for the students by emailing them.
Campus Life
All the information about annual festivals, sports, and extracurricular activities can be known after getting admitted into the college, but I guarantee that the environment is a little bit toxic here. All classes are air conditioned but not the laboratories and patient treating areas. The library is fully loaded with a variety of dental books and journals and they're easily accessible.
Admission
Eligibility: 12th standard passed (PCMB) and NEET UG qualified. And if we talk about the cut of marks of the NEET UG entrance exam, we all know it's increasing every year. And there is a matter of Government quota, I can't give much information about that here right now, you can interact with college management to know about that.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is near about 20:100 per department. The faculty credentials: Most of the teachers are MDS in their respective departments. And their approach to teaching is not good but not that bad too, they actually come to read slides from the presentations they made about the topic, but sometimes the do doubt clearing too. I don't interact that much with the teachers because their approachability is not that good or student friendly. (exceptions excluded)
Other Applied Colleges
The Neotia University - [TNU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Agriculture)
Because I ranked in NEET UG and got chance in this KSD Jain Dental College and Hospital
