VIPS(New delhi) INSIDE OUT

Remarks :

So I applied for VIPS on the first attempt with an IPU CET score of 206 in a general category without quota, and my brother got around 160 IPU CET score and got in the second round, you must have scored a minimum of 60% in class 12th, age is not specified. I never got the chance to check out VIPS completely due to pandemics, and the counseling was over zoom meeting, it was an interactive one.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The main reason for me was to satisfy the criteria for being a legal advisor and I am particularly keen about learning economics. Teacher to student ratio is 1:60 and the faculty are well versed with their respective subjects despite being online classes, the first semester exam were really easy infact most of it was from class 12th

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees are a bit high as compared to other colleges and the college doesn't have much going for it other than faculty scholarships are offered to those with merit scores and financial assistance is also available for EWS as far as the job is concerned there is a whole department for placement that shouldn't be a concern

Campus Life :

We have sankaran one of the best fests all over IPU it's usually conducted at the end of a year our was delayed due to pandemic, There's a book-bank facility available and the library is huge and smart classrooms, as far as sports are concerned pandemic never have that facility but there were several other activities like debate and such. There are several groups and clubs and websites and groups run by students are also there.

Placement Experience:

The Placement Cell of the college is very active. Students can avail themselves of the placement opportunities from the fifth semester. I have been selected as a content writer in the fifth semester. I was offered a 4.6 LPA in the esteemed company. More than 40 percent of students end up doing getting jobs. I have decided to earn some experience as a content writer and then apply for the MA journalism program.

Placement Experience:

For the courses like Architecture, Engineering, Law, Mass Communication, many big companies come for placements in Jamia. As my course is a Bachelors's subject under Arts, there aren't many placement opportunities. But I hope to pursue my Master in History after which I would try to get placed.

Placement Experience:

The placements for BA Program in particular are slightly lower as compared to other courses. Most students from the course opt for higher studies but the few who choose to sit for placements find it hard to land a job. Campus placements start in 5th semester and continue for the entire final year. A student is free to sit for as many companies as they like, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria like CGPA, course, etc. Most companies hire a maximum of 4 students owing to the small population of students at St. Stephen's. The highest package in 2021 was 18LPA and the average package is about 6 LPA-8 LPA.

Placement Experience:

Around 70% of the students get good campus placements, especially in the private sector. The average package for the students is 6,000,00 per annum. The highest package offered to the student varies between 25 lakhs to 35 lakhs. My plans are different as I want to pursue my higher education.

Placement Experience:

The placement of the college is good. It has tie ups with reputed news channels. But in our course, the college does not provide internships, students have do it themselves and they have to prepare their own youtube channel for work.

Remarks:

The management is an equally hardworking and efficient team like the faculties. They maintain a good relationship with the students as well as with the teachers and are approachable for both the parties. Their functioning has ensured that the college runs smoothly in terms of presenting itself to others.

The college timings and the unprofessional conduct of many teachers and the office staff has made college an exhausting experience. There are no proper channels for conveying our complaints and suggestions.
