Remarks :
Firstly, I gave JEE (Mains) and JEE (Advanced). I got 97.44 percentile/ 28144 CRL/ 4568 EWS rank in JEE (Mains). I qualified in JEE (Advanced) but was unable to get IITs as my rank was 28k. So I had applied for JOSAA counseling various NITs with various branches in a particular order like I wrote NIT Jamshedpur Mechanical, MNNIT Allahabad Chemical, and many more. I made the list by properly analyzing the previous year's trends and data. I gave MNIT Jaipur Chemical more priority as this college is in Jaipur city which gave its an edge. I belong to Gen(EWS) category, 10% of seats are reserved for EWS students. Admission criterion and eligibility are the same for all NITs and there are no minimum marks as we have been shown percentile scores rather than marks and moreover, colleges are allotted with ranks. All my counseling process was held online in which I had to upload my documents like 10th/12th mark sheet, category certificate, Medical certificate.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is really good. In the first year, you will study the basics of all branches and your batchmates will also be from various branches. One of the things which I liked here most is the Basic Economics course which you will study here in the 1st/2nd semester. In my branch, there are a total of 115 students. Here, each faculty members have a doctorate degree. However, they are some professors whom you may feel boring but maximum faculties are really good and helping. Here we have two exams per semester, one is the Mid-Term exam which is of 30% weightage and another one is the End-Term Exam which is of 50% weightage. Rest 20% is in hands of the professor. He/she may take some quizzes, viva, etc. For the assessment.
Internships Opportunities :
Here students got an internship in De Shaw with a stipend of Rs 125000 per month. Some of my seniors got internships in Wells Fargo which is a financial service company and internship culture is increasing year by year.
Placement Experience :
Placements statistics are improving year by year. One can visit the placement portal of MNIT to see exact figures. In 2020, a student of Chemical Engineering bagged an international package of about 37.5 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
A general student whose father income is greater than 5 LPA will have to pay approximately Rs. 80000-85000 per semester (mess and hostel fees included). However, if income is in between 1 LPA-5 LPA then you will get a fee remission of 80% in tuition fees which is about 62000/semester and if income is less than 1lpa then tuition fee will be waived off. Apart from this, you can apply for various scholarships by the central government, state government, etc. Many of my seniors have got placed in big companies like Hindustan Unilever, Collegedunia, L&T hydrocarbon (wrote only for Chemical Engineering Students). Some of my seniors have got internships in big companies like De Shaw.
Campus Life :
Here, you will get exposure in various domains through various clubs like DIL(Dramatics Club), The Mavericks(Mass and Media Club), Energy Club, Music and Spay Club, Film and photography club, Vyaktitva Srijan(Think India). Sphinx is the name of our technical fest and Blitzschlag is a cultural fest which is the largest fest in Rajasthan. Our college is situated in heart of Jaipur with a very attractive infrastructure. One thing which I found not good is that there's no swimming pool here otherwise each sports facility is available. Also, we have VLTC (Vivekanand Lecture Theatre Complex) which is one of the largest lecture hall complexes in Asia. So overall, infra is really fascinating in MNIT Jaipur.
Hostel Facilities :
We have a total of 12 hostels in MNIT. Some of them are new and some are old but still, all necessary facilities have been given in each of the hostels. However in some new hostels, the LAN facility is not available, the institute is working on it. Some of the new hostels are the Aurobindo hostel, Ganga hostel, and Gargi hostel. Meal quality is okayish but we have a canteen in MNIT named Annapurna which is really a good thing.
